The Creed Brothers def. GYV in a Dusty Classic Semifinals Match
The Creed Brothers punched their ticket to the 2022 Men's Dusty Rhodes Classic Finals following a spirited battle with The Grizzled Young Veterans.
Action was fast and furious from the get-go as The Creed Brothers jumped out of the ring to attack GYV before the match began, but the experienced Zack Gibson & James Drake had Julius & Brutus Creed on their heels as the duo looked to reach their third straight Dusty Cup Final. GYV pummeled the larger Brutus Creed, sling-shotting him into the steel beneath the ring apron as the referee was distracted.
GYV targeted the injured neck of Brutus Creed until he was finally able to tag in his brother, who laid waste to Drake & Gibson before surviving a Doomsday Device from GYV for a near-fall. Two of Diamond Mine's finest took some of GYV's hardest blows and kept fighting with a massive suplex off the top rope before Brutus Creed hit a devastating clothesline for the victory.
Tiffany Stratton def. Wendy Choo
Tiffany Stratton came to collect on Wendy Choo's credit card bill with a harsh reprisal that saw "Daddy's Little Princess" put the sleepy Superstar down for a three-second nap.
Choo sent Stratton flying around the ring with a huge suplex, but after chipping one of her nails, "The Buff Barbie Doll" flew off the deep end and battered Choo in the corner with a dropkick before landing a spinning splash to earn the 1-2-3.
Pete Dunne def. Draco Anthony
Before the two Superstars squared off, Draco Anthony voiced his respect for The BruiserWeight. Although Pete Dunne acknowledged the compliment, it didn't stop him from breaking the challenger's fingers.
In just his second match on NXT 2.0, Anthony showed flashes of what he is capable of in a spirited fight against the former UK Champion, knocking Dunne for a loop with a suplex to send him rolling outside the ropes. Before Dunne could re-enter the ring, Tony D'Angelo popped up out of nowhere and attempted to smash The BruiserWeight's hand with a crowbar, but "The Baddest Man in NXT" was ready for the ambush, dodging all of D'Angelo's attempts.
After shoving D'Angelo into the ring post, Dunne rolled back into the ring and dispatched Anthony with a Bitter End before throwing several weapons into the square circle and suggesting the steel cage be weaponized when he and D'Angelo meet at NXT Vengeance Day.
LA Knight def. Sanga
LA Knight took one step forward and two steps back in his pursuit of Grayson Waller, defeating his towering bodyguard Sanga but seemingly violating the restraining order when he countered "The Arrogant Aussie’s" surprise attack and dropped Waller with his modified facebuster.
Waller slid into the ring following a brutal battle between Knight and Sanga that saw his personal secret service take everything Knight could muster and remain standing to crush Knight with a brutal slam and elbow drop. The relentless Knight continued to chop down Sanga bit by bit, pushing the giant into a turnbuckle that was exposed by Waller before hitting a neckbreaker for the win.
Dolph Ziggler crashed Championship Summit between Bron Breakker and Santos Escobar
After their NXT Championship Match at NXT Vengeance Day was made official over the weekend, Bron Breakker and Santos Escobar met face-to-face inside the ring to trade barbs and match predictions until Dolph Ziggler crashed the party to call out Breakker and stake his claim to the NXT Title.
Ziggler's appearance drew the ire of Tommaso Ciampa, who explained that if The Showoff wants a title opportunity, he needs to get in line behind The Blackheart. The exchange led to blows between the two Superstars as Escobar seized the opportunity to sic Legado del Fantasma on a distracted Breakker, and the group culminated the attack by planting him through a table.
Sarray def. Dakota Kai
The Warrior of the Sun continued to shine with a hard-fought victory over Dakota Kai. Sarray withstood Kai's brutal flurry of kicks, responding with an array of dropkicks, including her Sunray Dropkick. Sarray sealed the win by upending Kai with a suplex.
MSK def. Malik Blade & Edris Enofé in a Dusty Classic Semifinals Match
MSK is one step closer to winning their second straight Dusty Classic after ending the Cinderella run of Malik Blade & Edris Enofé.
Despite their recent partnership and underdog status, Blade & Enofé impressed the former NXT Tag Team Champions with some acrobatic maneuvers that nearly kept MSK down for the count.
After two shocking near-falls by Enofé, including one following a monumental splash, Wes Lee slid in to save his partner. MSK’s brutal tandem offense proved to be too much, as a dual blockbuster capped off a quick flurry to score the pinfall.
Mandy Rose def. Kay Lee Ray in an NXT Women’s Championship Match
It looked as if Kay Lee Ray would finally get her one-on-one match with Mandy Rose when Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta jumped Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne on their way to the ring, leaving the NXT Women's Champion without backup.
The two Superstars traded blows in a heated battle that saw Ray put her body on the line before Rose flung the back of Ray's head into the turnbuckle. The Forever Champion rallied to hit Rose with a moonsault, hoisting her up for a KLR Bomb that was reversed into a sunset flip for a near-fall.
As Ray climbed the ropes, Jayne reappeared to distract the referee as Dolin made her way through the crowd to push Ray off the top rope and send her crashing to the mat. Rose jumped at the chance and connected with a running knee to score the pinfall and retain the NXT Women's Championship.
Afterward, Toxic Attraction surrounded Ray as she stood her ground with bat in hand, but before the trio could begin their assault, Io Shirai raced into the ring to help turn the tide and send Toxic Attraction packing as the show went off the air.
