Lyra Valkyria def. Jacy Jayne
Lyra Valkyria was able to prove WWE Women’s World Champion right as she got her groove back and defeated Jacy Jayne in a bitter grudge match.
Before the bell could even ring, Jayne pounced on Valkyria and tossed her through her entrance smoke and brutalized her before the referee could step in.
Jayne looked poised to once again walk out with the win, but Valkyria dug deep and channeled the fighting spirit of her Irish ancestors, put Jayne flat on her back, and hit a perfect diving splash to earn the victory.
Dijak def. Eddy Thorpe
Dijak delivered Hard Justice to Eddy Thorpe, proving that he is still one of if not the toughest Superstar in all of NXT.
The two Superstars brawled to start the match but Dijak slowly but surely began wearing down the smaller Thorpe, and the intensity of the leather-clad Dijak only grew.
Not going down without a fight, Thorpe attempted to mount a comeback, but Dijak was too powerful and too motivated as he defeated Thorpe and gave him some choice words after the match too.
Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice def. Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz
The debut of Lola Vice couldn’t have gone better as the Cuban Superstar partnered with Elektra Lopez to take down Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz.
Leon and Feroz were still riding high after their win against the Meta-Four on the Great American Bash Kickoff Show, but one mistake ended up costing them dearly.
Lopez was the illegal competitor but lingered in the ring, forcing Leon to deliver a swift strike to knock her out of the ring, but the distraction allowed Vice to crack her opponent with a devastating knockout kick to give her team the win.
Noam Dar & Oro Mensah def. Carmelo Hayes & Wes Lee
Wes Lee’s anger issues stemming from weeks of losses cost him and NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes a tag team match against Noam Dar and Oro Mensah of The Meta-Four.
Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend managed to swing momentum back in the favor of Dar and Mensah, but it was short-lived as the NXT Champion put on a show in front of the NXT Universe.
However, once Lee tagged back into the match, he became a little too overzealous and hit Hayes with a Kardiak Kick which put him into position for a Nova Roller, allowing Dar and Mensah to steal the victory.
Baron Corbin def. Andre Chase
Still reeling after throwing in the towel and stopping Thea Hail’s opportunity at the NXT Women’s Championship at the Great American Bash, Andre Chase felt the wrath of Baron Corbin and continued the downward spiral of Chase U.
Chase put up a valiant effort, but the ferocity of Corbin was on full display all while the NXT Universe chastised Chase for his decision to throw in the towel last weekend.
Stunningly, while Baron Corbin had Chase locked in a submission hold, a dejected Thea Hail came to life and tried throwing in the towel on her own mentor, but Corbin caught it and tossed it back out the ring, only to hit a match-ending End of Days just moments later.
Tony D’Angelo, Stacks & Santos Escobar def. Gallus
The Family enlisted the help of their old bitter enemy Santos Escobar to help them deal with Gallus and the plan worked as Tony D’Angelo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, and Escobar walked out of NXT with their hands held high.
Escobar, the No. 1 Contender to the United States Championship where he’ll face Austin Theory on the Aug. 11th edition of SmackDown, proved to be the perfect partner as he moved seamlessly alongside D’Angelo and Stacks.
Despite Gallus’ strength advantage, Escobar neutralized Mark Coffey which allowed the NXT Tag Team Champions to hit Bada Bing Bada Boom and win the match.
