NXT Level Up results: April 1, 2022

Xyon Quinn def. Dante Chen

As two of the early standouts on NXT Level Up, Xyon Quinn and Dante Chen locked horns in an edge-of-your-seat opening match that had the WWE Universe watching with bated breath.

After a fist bump at the opening bell, Quinn took control by lawn-darting his smaller opponent into the top turnbuckle and knocking him to the canvas with a fierce shoulder block.

Chen caught fire with a series of running strikes and a pinpoint boot to the face, but Quinn turned the tides by catching his airborne opponent when Chen went for a crossbody from the top rope. Moments later, Quinn clobbered Chen with his running forearm to earn the three-count, while Chen tasted defeat for just the second time in his first eight WWE matches.

Kayden Carter def. Tatum Paxley

Still hoping to impress Diamond Mine and perhaps join their ranks, Tatum Paxley got off to a strong start against Kayden Carter, out-grappling her opponent in the early goings and flinging her into the bottom turnbuckle before landing a dropkick.

Competing in a singles bout for the first time in more than a year, Carter took the upper hand with a rapid-fire series of kicks to the face.

Paxley struck back with a scoop slam and a standing twisting splash onto Carter, but her more experienced foe landed a nasty kick to the midsection and sealed the win with a unique slam that sent Paxley back-first into the mat.

Damon Kemp def. James Drake

Damon Kemp will never forget his first WWE win, especially since it came in chaotic fashion at the hands of battle-hardened veteran and former NXT UK Tag Team Champion James Drake.

After hanging tough and dealing with the constant meddling of Zack Gibson, who jumped onto the ring apron and allowed Drake to reclaim the advantage with a shoulder block, Kemp got some backup in the form of Edris Enofé and Malik Blade.

Enofé and Blade began barking at The Grizzled Young Veterans from the ramp, and Kemp took advantage by rolling up his foe to score his first victory before celebrating with his newfound comrades as NXT Level Up concluded.
