Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu brawled through the arena and were attacked by Drew McIntyre
Weeks after inadvertently causing Cody Rhodes to lose the Undisputed WWE Title to Drew McIntyre in a Three Stages of Hell Match, Jacob Fatu attacked Rhodes in the entranceway during The American Nightmare’s pyro.
The two continued to brawl as security officials tried to restore order and start the match.
Rhodes and Fatu fought into the WWE Universe and into the concourse area, leaving wreckage in their wake.
As Rhodes and Fatu battered each other in the crowd, Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre emerged to throw Fatu off a platform to the cement floor before powerbombing Rhodes off the platform and through a table.
WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY def. Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez
Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY defended their WWE Women's Tag Team Title against The Judgment Day's Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez.
The Judgment Day isolated SKY from her partner, but Ripley eventually received the tag and faced off with Morgan to reignite their fierce rivalry.
Perez hit a top-rope hurricane before Morgan nailed a lung blower on Ripley, but The Nightmare kicked out.
SKY went for a knee attack, but Morgan evaded the move to land a spinning crucifix bomb.
When SKY tried to land Over the Moonsault, Perez countered by lifting her knees before following with Pop Rox. Ripley, however, broke up the pinfall attempt.
Ripley nailed the Riptide as SKY landed a picture-perfect Over the Moonsault, but Raquel Rodriguez grabbed Ripley’s legs to force her to fall on top of the official.
Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer provided backup for Ripley and SKY, taking out Rodriguez.
Morgan hit Oblivion on SKY just as SKY made a tag to Ripley, unbeknownst to Morgan. The Nightmare then struck Morgan with the Riptide to win the match and retain the title.
AJ Styles def. Shinsuke Nakamura
One week before putting his career on the line against Gunther at Royal Rumble, AJ Styles collided with former rival Shinsuke Nakamura.
Nakamura had Styles off his game, forcing The Phenomenal One to adapt to avoid Nakamura's unique offense.
Styles took out Nakamura's knees before executing a Calf Crusher, but Nakamura got to the bottom rope.
The Phenomenal One once again locked in the Calf Crusher and brutalized Nakamura's leg. Nakamura reversed the submission into an armbar before transitioning into a triangle.
Styles escaped the hold and attempted to land the Styles Clash, but Nakamura evaded and landed a Kinshasa out of nowhere that left both men reeling.
Nakamura landed another Kinshasa, which seemed to hurt his knee even more. Nakamura went for his finishing move a third time, but his knee buckled, and Styles hit a Kinshasa of his own.
Styles tried going for the Styles Clash, but Nakamura once again countered and nailed a knee.
When Nakamura went for another Kinshasa, The Phenomenal One moved out of the way and sent Nakamura's knee into the turnbuckle.
Styles finally landed a Phenomenal Forearm and a Styles Clash to vanquish his longtime rival.
Sami Zayn def. Randy Orton, Damian Priest and Trick Williams in a No. 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match
Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, Damian Priest and Trick Williams collided for a chance to challenge Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at Royal Rumble next Saturday.
When the bout spilled to ringside, The Viper tried to slam Zayn through the announce table, but Zayn countered with a slam of his own on top of the table.
Back in the ring, Zayn executed the Helluva Kick on Priest, but Williams pulled the referee out of the ring to stop him from counting.
Orton twice slammed Williams on top of the announce table before dropping Zayn and Priest on top of the table.
Zayn countered an RKO attempt but was met with one anyway after trying to hit a Helluva Kick.
Orton hit a double draping DDT on Priest and Williams. Orton then attempted an RKO on Williams, but Williams reversed it and sent Orton straight into a South of Heaven Chokeslam from Priest.
Priest nailed the Razor's Edge on Zayn before kicking Williams out of the ring.
Out of nowhere, however, Zayn connected with the Helluva Kick on Priest to earn the win and an Undisputed WWE Title Match against McIntyre at Royal Rumble.
