Roxanne Perez: Bio
A self-proclaimed “prodigy,” the young Roxanne Perez has hit the ground running in NXT.
Growing up idolizing WWE, Perez graduated from Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling School as the youngest ROW Diamonds Champion. Perez hit the scene and immediately challenged NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose and Toxic Attraction, capturing the attention of both the locker room and the NXT Universe.
As the first-ever Women’s Breakout Tournament Champion, Perez truly lives up to her nickname.
Following the Women's Breakout Tournament victory, Perez won gold with her best friend Cora Jade, defeating Toxic Attraction to become NXT Women's Tag Team Champions at NXT Great American Bash. Perez then cashed in her Breakout Contract the following week, facing NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose. Perez nearly had the victory but Jade shockingly turned on her partner, costing her the match and subsequently dumping her title in the trash the next week. Perez held the NXT Women's Tag Titles individually for a week before relinquishing hers to Alundra Blayze. This betrayal would spark a rivalry of the ages between the two as the former partners fought at NXT Heatwave as well as a Weapon's Wild match at NXT Halloween Havoc.
Perez made history as the first-ever winner of the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. The rising Superstar wasted little time in making her title dreams a reality, as she defeated Mandy Rose on the following edition of NXT and claimed gold with a Pop Rox finale.
With a chaotic and history-making run as her first year in NXT has been, Perez has as a bright of a future as any newcomer has had in WWE in a long time.
