Kelani Jordan won a Six-Woman Ladder Match to become the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion
In a grueling Ladder Match, Kelani Jordan climbed to the top to become the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion, defeating Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Michin, Fallon Henley and Jaida Parker.
Jordan almost had the match won early as she remained on top of the ladder, but Legend and Parker combined to stretch both sides of Jordan in an excruciating submission hold atop the ladder.
As Ruca and Legend fought on the ladder, Ruca tried to perform a sunset flip powerbomb, but Legend held the rungs. Unfortunately for her, the rest of the field came together to throw her out of the ring and send her crashing onto a ladder at ringside.
Parker touched the gold first, but she couldn’t grasp it and was taken down with a Soul Snatcher by Ruca, who also landed her incredible move on Henley.
Ruca and Jordan went for the title at the same time but ended up eliminating each other with menacing kicks.
Jordan found her feet and hit Michin with a huge moonsault as Michin lay on top of a ladder. Jordan then climbed to the top to reach the summit and claim the gold.
Axiom & Nathan Frazer def. The O.C. to retain the NXT Tag Team Titles
The O.C. were arrogant coming into the match, but Axiom and Nathan Frazer quickly grounded Karl Anderson with blitzing offense and quick tag team takedowns.
In a tale of two opposite styles, Axiom and Frazer kept up their mile-a-minute offense when in control, contending with The O.C.’s more deliberate pace as they tried to slow the champions.
As Gallows and Anderson were readying to hit the Magic Killer on Axiom, the high-flying Superstar countered into a sleeper hold on Gallows. Gallows broke out of it as The O.C. once again tried to put them away, this time with an assisted dropkick. However, Axiom broke up the pinfall attempt at the last second.
Anderson hit Axiom with a huge top-rope fireman’s carry cutter, but Axiom somehow kicked out before three.
With the action hitting breakneck speed, Axiom hit Anderson with a Spanish Fly from the top rope followed by a Phoenix Splash by Frazer as the champions retained.
Lola Vice def. Shayna Baszler in an NXT Underground Match
NXT went Underground for the fourth time ever, fitting for Lola Vice and Shayna Baszler, who each have extensive and impressive MMA backgrounds.
Baszler took down Vice first before the two fought outside the ropeless ring. Baszler again dropped Vice in the ring, slapping on the Ankle Lock. Vice broke the hold by sending Baszler straight into the ring post and locking on a deep sleeper.
Baszler escaped the hold by launching her and Vice onto the bystanders outside the ring.
Baszler tried taking out Vice with a knee strike, but Vice evaded the hit, and Baszler’s knee banged into the announce table.
Baszler exposed her knee in a huge knee strike attempt, but Vice knocked Baszler out of the ring. As Vice tried to get Baszler back in the ring, The Queen of Spades struck Vice before suddenly attacking some of the bystanders.
Vice shoved Baszler face-first into the steel ring steps and dragged her back into the ring. Seconds later, Vice knocked out Baszler with a back elbow before raining down strikes. The referee had no choice but to stop the match, awarding the victory to Vice.
Oba Femi def. Wes Lee and Joe Coffey in a Triple Threat match to retain the NXT North American Championship
NXT North American Champion Oba Femi steamrolled each of his challengers like a Mack truck, lawn-darting Wes Lee into Joe Coffey to land the first big blow.
Lee and Coffey attacked Femi at the same time, eventually landing enough strikes to stagger the champion.
Femi recovered and once again launched Lee onto Coffey, sending Lee at least 10 feet into the air.
As the action spilled to the outside, Femi once again snatched Lee out of the air as the dynamic Superstar attempted a dive to the outside. Femi then threw Lee onto Coffey as Lee once more gained airtime by the hands of Femi.
Just as Femi continued his onslaught, the rest of Gallus ran out to the ring, taking out Femi with a huge assisted dropkick.
Coffey then picked the bones of Lee, hitting a Glasgow Sendoff, but Lee kicked out.
Femi rose again, striking Wolfgang and Mark Coffey. As the champion got back into the ring, Coffey pounced with an All the Best for the Bells.
Lee hit Coffey with a Cardiac Kick, but Gallus stopped the referee’s count.
Lee flew onto Gallus at ringside, then onto Femi, but he was caught with a powerbomb. Femi then hit Coffey with a pop-up powerbomb to emphatically retain the title.
Roxanne Perez def. Jordynne Grace to retain the NXT Women’s Championship
In an industry-shocking matchup, Roxanne Perez retained her NXT Women’s Championship against TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace.
With “this is awesome” chants right from the start, this match became a moment in and of itself.
Perez used underhanded tactics to gain control, raking the eyes of Grace to stay ahead of Grace’s power game.
Perez locked onto Grace’s left shoulder and arm, but Grace planted her onto the mat.
Finally, Grace was able to overpower Perez, hitting a huge torture rack slam from the top rope.
Perez went for Pop Rox on the ring apron, but Grace held on. Perez kept up the onslaught, however, hitting a huge dive to the outside followed by a scintillating moonsault onto Grace for a two-count.
In a bizarre turn of events, Tatum Paxley emerged to steal Grace’s TNA Knockouts World Championship. TNA’s Ash by Elegance saved Grace’s title, snatching it from Paxley’s hands. Grace grabbed her title back, striking Paxley and Ash by Elegance.
Grace hit a Death Valley Driver onto Perez before attempting a Juggernaut Driver, but Perez countered it into a cutter. Perez then hit Pop Rox to retain her title.
Trick Williams def. Ethan Page to retain the NXT Championship
Having signed his contract five days ago, “All Ego” Ethan Page took on Trick Williams for the NXT Title and bombarded the champion from the start.
Page punished Williams with huge slams, leaving the champion reeling.
Williams rallied, however, launching himself onto Page by the barricade before hitting a huge boot back inside the ring.
As the action once again spilled to ringside, Williams looked to plant Page, but “All Ego” overpowered Williams and smashed him through the announce table.
After sending Williams back into the ring, Page dropped the champion with a Razor’s Edge for a two-count.
An irate Page jaw-jacked with the official, and just as the challenger had his back turned, Williams hit the Trick Shot to retain his title.
