SmackDown results, Oct. 2, 2026: Kevin Owens qualifies for Money in the Bank as Randy Orton prevents Cody Rhodes from winning

Former “Ms. Money in the Bank” Tiffany Stratton looked to enter her second Money in the Bank Ladder Match as she took on Tatum Paxley and Candice LeRae in a Triple Threat Match. 

Stratton and Paxley worked together briefly, forming a "Tatum Time" alliance, but it expired quickly as LeRae took advantage of their arguing with a dropkick to the outside. 

Stratton connected with a double handspring stunner on LeRae and Paxley before landing an Alabama Slam on LeRae. 

When Paxley slammed Stratton with the Cemetery Drive, LeRae threw Paxley out of the ring and almost stole the win, but Paxley broke up the count. 

In a stunning sequence, Stratton hit a senton on LeRae before Paxley executed a huge 450 splash on LeRae. Seconds later, Stratton landed the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on each of her opponents before pinning LeRae to win the match. 

Ricky Saints & War Raiders def. Rey Fenix & Fraxiom

AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix teamed with Fraxiom to take on Ricky Saints and The War Raiders. 

Fenix channeled WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels by hitting a kip-up and tuning up the band before leveling Ivar with a superkick. 

Fenix connected with a hurricanrana on Ivar, but Saints tagged himself in, unbeknownst to Fenix. 

Saints then hit a huge Rochambeau on Fenix to win the match. 

Je'Von Evans, Penta, Trick Williams, Finn Bálor and Gunther confronted Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn

After months of backstage attacks and false starts, Blake Monroe made her SmackDown in-ring debut by taking on archrival Giulia. 

After both women quickly unloaded on each other, Giulia connected with a vicious stomp. 

Giulia dragged Monroe to the top rope, but Monroe clipped Giulia's legs to send her face-first onto the top of the ring post. 

Monroe then pinned a stunned Giulia to win the match. 

Kevin Owens def. Johnny Gargano and Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat Match to qualify for Money in the Bank

Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Johnny Gargano clashed in a Triple Threat Match to determine the final entrant into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. 

Candice LeRae got involved by trapping Rhodes as Gargano looked to strike, but Rhodes moved out of the way, which resulted in Gargano almost colliding with his wife. 

Rhodes struck Gargano, who inadvertently knocked LeRae onto a table at ringside, and Rhodes then sent Gargano crashing through the same table. 

Rhodes nailed the Cross Rhodes on KO, but Randy Orton pulled the official out of the ring to prevent Rhodes from winning. 

Rhodes sent Orton into the post and thought about getting back in the ring, but he instead chose to try to Punt Orton instead. 

Gargano stopped Rhodes with a scintillating dive to the outside and connected with One Final Beat to Owens in the ring. 

Owens kicked out before eventually landing the Pop-up Powerbomb on Gargano to win the match while Orton was preventing Rhodes from getting back into the ring.
