TJ Perkins, Rich Swann & Noam Dar def. Tony Nese, Drew Gulak & Ariya Daivari

TJ Perkins, Rich Swann & Noam Dar def. Tony Nese, Drew Gulak & Ariya Daivari

The fate of the entire Cruiserweight division is at stake in Survivor Series’ WWE Cruiserweight Title Match, but Survivor Series Kickoff was all about displaying what the division has to offer. In what could well have been their final bout as Raw-exclusive Superstars, the Cruiserweight division put its best and brightest on display and TJ Perkins, Rich Swann & Noam Dar stood out as the cream of the crop.

Facing Tony Nese, Drew Gulak & Ariya Daivari, the impromptu trio came out swinging, with Swann handling the heavy lifting against Nese before TJP tagged in. Perhaps looking to make a case for himself as a future contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship he lost at Hell in a Cell, Perkins broke out the big guns against The Premier Athlete. Nese used his strength to escape an Octopus and tag in Gulak, though. Even then, Perkins persisted, locking in an early Kneebar on Gulak that Nese and Daivari had to help break up.

If Perkins provided the science and Swann provided the flash, then it was the Scottish sensation Dar who proved to be the X-factor. Dar not only gave his team a second wind after Perkins’ Kneebar was interrupted, but also toughed out a revolving door of pain from Daivari, Gulak and Nese to tag in Swann. With a timely assist from Perkins, who vaulted over the referee to take out Gulak and Nese on the outside, Swann closed the match out with a kick to Daivari’s face and a Standing 450 Splash. Cue the dancing.
