Dante Chen & Guru Raaj def. Bryson Montana & Damaris Griffin
If you didn’t know any better, it might have been difficult to tell that Dante Chen and Guru Raaj were teaming together for the first time.
Though they’ve both experienced mixed results in singles competition, they were firing on all cylinders in their clash with the powerful duo of Bryson Montana and Damaris Griffin, who almost secured the win when Griffin nearly drove Chen through the canvas with a scoop slam and went airborne from the middle rope.
Unfortunately for Griffin, “The Singaporean Warrior” dodged the attack, removed his elbow pad and socked him with a devastating elbow strike to the jaw for the three-count.
Arianna Grace def. Thea Hail
Arianna Grace doesn’t appear likely to enroll at Chase University.
Looking down her nose at Thea Hail as well as the school’s ever-enthusiastic student section from the moment she stepped through the curtain, Grace took control with a nasty back suplex and took time to mock Hail’s adoring fans by blowing a kiss and waving.
Hail fought back with a swinging neckbreaker and a standing moonsault in quick succession, but Grace soon rolled up her opponent and grabbed the middle rope to secure the 1-2-3.
Quincy Elliott def. Xyon Quinn
Primed to tangle with a local competitor, Xyon Quinn intimidated him before the bell and gave him 10 seconds to leave the ring, and the grappler indeed acquiesced and exited. Quinn then issued an open challenge that was answered by Quincy Elliott, who entered the arena on a moped!
In a true contrast of styles, the eccentric Elliott danced his way into the squared circle while taking on the deadly serious Quinn, who responded with an ice-cold stare and opened the match by blitzing him with a series of menacing strikes.
Quinn, however, had his colossal opponent in dire straits when he hoisted Elliott over his head and planted him into the mat, which drew a long two-count. Perhaps feeding off the energy of the WWE Universe, Elliott crushed Quinn by running full speed into him in the corner and landed a match-clinching splash from the middle rope.
