NXT Level Up results: Dec. 2, 2022

Oro Mensah def. Myles Borne

Something had to give when a pair of upstarts with some impressive wins to their names clashed in a fast-paced thriller to kick off NXT Level Up.

Seeking his fourth win in his last five matches, Borne nearly secured the victory with a thunderous powerslam for the longest of two-counts.

The former NXT UK Tag Team Champion soon fired back by landing a middle-rope moonsault followed by a vicious spinning heel kick in the corner for his second win in three career matches on NXT Level Up. After the bout, Mensah shook Borne’s hand and raised his arm.

Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo def. Tavion Heights

Fresh off his controversial victory against Oro Mensah, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo attempted to intimidate the debuting Tavion Heights before the bell, barking at the newcomer as he joined him in the ring.

Heights, a former Olympic wrestler who is a master of the Greco-Roman style, stunned his more experienced foe with a mat-grappling clinic, several impressive takeovers and an overhead suplex.

“Stacks” nevertheless recovered from the onslaught and emerged victorious when he used his knee to drive Heights face-first into the canvas, much to the delight of “The Don of NXT” Tony D’Angelo, who hugged his right-hand man to celebrate.

Thea Hail def. Sol Ruca

One of the most popular competitors in the NXT Arena, Thea Hail received a hero’s welcome from the Chase University student section the second she bounded through the curtain for her clash with Sol Ruca.

A former gymnast, acrobat and tumbling competitor, Ruca took control by delivering a standing moonsault soon followed by a savage backbreaker.

Feeding off the raucous crowd, a fired-up Hail fought free from a submission hold before surprising Ruca with a crafty rollup for the three-count. The two Superstars embraced after the match as Hail, Andre Chase and Duke Hudson celebrated to conclude NXT Level Up.
