Roman Reigns finally conquers Seth Rollins in an instant classic at SummerSlam
On SummerSlam Sunday, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns overcame Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens returned to defeat Sami Zayn, Finn Bálor and Gunther to become the No. 1 Contender to the Undisputed WWE Title, Chad Gable made Penta tap out to seize the Intercontinental Championship, Chelsea Green triumphed in a Ladder Match to become the Interim WWE Women's Champion and more.

Kevin Owens def. Gunther, Finn Bálor and Sami Zayn in a Fatal 4-Way Match to become No. 1 Contender to the Undisputed WWE Title
SummerSlam 2026 Sunday started with a shock as Kevin Owens made his emotional return.
Before Finn Bálor was set to face Sami Zayn in an Undisputed WWE Title No. 1 Contender’s Match, Nick Aldis revealed that Gunther would be added to the match.
The SmackDown General Manager didn’t stop there, however, as Aldis then announced that Kevin Owens would also compete!
KO entered on fire, repeatedly cannonballing Bálor and Gunther as Zayn watched in shock. The two then embraced before unloading on each other with strikes.
Owens went for a swanton bomb, but Zayn raised his knees and caused Owens to land hard on his surgically repaired neck.
As Zayn was readying for a Helluva Kick, Gunther locked Zayn in a Sleeper Hold before Bálor connected with the Coup de Grace to break up the submission.
Seventeen months after his last match, Owens concluded his otherworldly comeback by executing Stunners on Bálor, Gunther and lastly Zayn to win the bout.
Baron Corbin def. Trick Williams to win the United States Title
United States Champion Trick Williams made his SummerSlam debut by defending the star-spangled title against Baron Corbin.
Wiliams attacked Corbin to start the match, but his momentum was stalled by a Deep Six outside the ring.
Corbin continued to beat down Corbin until Lil Yachty threatened Corbin with the Trick Stick.
Behind the referee’s back, Yachty nailed Corbin in the back with the Trick Stick as Trick hit the Death Valley driver.
Yachty tried to stop Corbin from using the title as a weapon, but as Yachty and Corbin were tussling with the championship, Williams struck Corbin and inadvertently sent Yachty crashing through a table at ringside.
Back in the ring, Corbin drilled Trick with the title before landing End of Days to win the match and become the new United States Champion.
Chelsea Green def. Tiffany Stratton, Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill and Lash Legend in a Ladder Match to become Interim WWE Women’s Champion
Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton, Chelsea Green, Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill and Lash Legend collided in a Ladder Match for the Interim WWE Women’s Title.
Green was the first to climb the ladder but was stopped by Cargill, who leveled her with Jaded onto another ladder.
Stratton attempted a hurricanrana, but Legend countered with a gruesome powerbomb right on top of a ladder that left Stratton crying in pain.
As Stratton was almost touching the title, Green arrived to push over the ladder, sending her friend tumbling on top of everyone on the ringside floor.
Just when Green looked set to win the match, B-Fab and Michin arrived to attack Green and help Cargill.
As Green was left hanging from the ladder, Cargill and Flair fought each other on another ladder before both crashed to the mat.
Still hanging upside down by her feet at the bottom of the ladder, Green lifted herself up, scaled the rungs and grabbed the title to capture her first World Title.
Danhausen def. Dominik Mysterio in a Human Monies on a Pole Match
Danhausen and Dominik Mysterio collided in a Human Monies on a Pole Match for the money that Danhausen took from The Judgment Day.
It didn’t take long until JD McDonagh and the Minihausens arrived to cause mayhem.
Joe Hendry then appeared and took out McDonagh with a guitar strike to the back.
As Mysterio was within grasp of the sack of money, Danhausen cursed Mysterio and sent pyro shooting from the turnbuckle.
With Dirty Dom writhing in pain on the canvas, Danhausen collected the monies to win the match before celebrating with Hendry and the Minihausens.
Chad Gable def. Penta to win the Intercontinental Title
Chad Gable looked to win his first singles title as he battled Intercontinental Champion Penta.
Gable went for a moonsault but was kicked on the way down by Penta.
Gable began favoring his shoulder when Penta executed a dive to ringside that struck the shoulder.
Penta continued to dial in on Gable’s shoulder, wrenching it out of its socket in a vicious move.
Gable nailed a German suplex on the ring apron to leave Penta dazed before following up with a picture-perfect moonsault.
After hitting the Mexican destroyer on the apron, Penta went for a second destroyer, but Gable caught him with the Ankle Lock and forced Penta to tap out.
After the match, a jubilant Gable celebrated in the ring with his family and thanked the Minnesota crowd.
World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns def. Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins looked to continue his winning streak against World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns in the main event of SummerSlam, which became an instant classic.
Reigns and Rollins took their fight to the WWE Universe, with Reigns suplexing Rollins onto the concrete floor in the crowd.
Rollins mocked Reigns before attempting a Spear through the barricade, but The OTC caught The Visionary before sending Rollins crashing through the announce table with a powerbomb.
Rollins dropped Reigns with a powerbomb of his own on the other announce table, but both barely made it back to the ring before the official counted to 10.
After Rollins superplexed Reigns, the champion locked in the Guillotine as Rollins attempted the falcon arrow.
Rollins escaped only to be met with a Spear from Reigns. Somehow, an exhausted Rollins kicked out of the Spear at the last possible second.
Reigns nailed the buckle bomb and followed with a Stomp, but this time it was Rollins’ turn to kick out, sending the Minnesota WWE Universe into a frenzy.
The two then paid homage to The Shield, as Rollins hit a Wacky Line before Reigns connected with Dirty Deeds.
When Reigns went for another Spear, he accidentally Speared the referee to take him out of the match.
The two each went to strike each other in the back with the steel chair, but Reigns symbolically threw the chair away before they started pummeling each other.
Rollins Stomped Reigns but could not connect with a Stomp from the top rope, and Reigns nailed three successive Spears to win the instant classic.
After the match, Reigns and Rollins performed the Shield fist bump to a thunderous ovation.
Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan def. IYO SKY
The Women’s World Championship remains with Liv Morgan after she took down 2026 Queen of the Ring IYO SKY in an instant classic to kick off SummerSlam Saturday.
The speedy SKY frustrated the champion in the early goings, but the savvy Morgan dropped the challenger rib-first on the barricade to gain control.
SKY refused to give in, delivering a swift kick that nearly knocked out the champion.The challenger scaled to the top rope, but a distraction from Roxanne Perez allowed new Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez to hit SKY with a massive chokeslam.
After surviving that chokeslam, SKY dumped Morgan to the outside and leveled Rodriguez and Perez with a marvelous Moonsault to ringside.
The two Superstars were exhausted, but the challenger shocked everyone by hitting the champion with her own version of Morgan’s finisher, Oblivion.
A furious Morgan dug deep and downed her opponent before climbing to the top rope and nailing an avalanche codebreaker.
An intense final sequence saw Morgan counter Over The Moonsault, but SKY followed that up by flipping out of Oblivion. However, Morgan forged on with another codebreaker and a final match-ending Oblivion to retain her title.
LA Knight, Solo Sikoa & Royce Keys def. Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso & Jacob Fatu | Six-Man Tag Team Match
LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys joined forces to take down The Bloodline in an epic Six-Man Tag Team Match.
Sikoa played expert mind games against his brothers and his cousin, even starting a YEET party to get the WWE Universe on their feet and to disorient Jey Uso.
The Samoan Werewolf wasted zero time attacking Sikoa and berated him in front of The Usos about abandoning their family.
Keys entered the fray and landed a couple massive strikes, including a World’s Strongest Slam and a spinebuster.
Knight and Jey Uso became the legal Superstars and engaged in a hard-hitting exchange, punctuated by a huge Spear from the former World Heavyweight Champion.
Every Superstar hopped into the ring, with Keys planting Jacob Fatu with a Spinebuster. The former friends continued their personal battle on the outside as Keys hit a shocking Powerslam over the barricade at the timekeeper’s area.
The Megastar looked to be in trouble after another Spear from Jey Uso and an Uso Splash from Jimmy Uso, but Sikoa cracked Jimmy with a Samoan Spike to allow Knight to hit a BFT on Jey for the win.
Gunther def. Nick Aldis
Gunther took down former SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, but it turned into a much closer fight than The Ring General expected.
Aldis brought the fight directly to Gunther, catching him in midair before hitting a picture-perfect suplex.
Gunther powered back with brutal chops that knocked Aldis to the outside, allowing The Ring General to berate and yell at Aldis’ wife, WWE legend Mickie James, who was sitting at ringside.
Those actions infuriated Aldis as he attempted to lock in the King’s Lynn Cloverleaf, but Gunther kept expertly evading it.
Aldis finally got Gunther down for the King’s Lynn Cloverleaf, but The Ring General scratched and crawled his way to the bottom rope.
Gunther finally locked in a Sleeper and hit several Hammer & Anvil Elbows before tightening the submission to force Aldis to submit.
Following the bout, Aldis received a booming ovation from the WWE Universe and was joined in the ring by his son Donovan and James for an emotional embrace.
Fatal Influence def. The Bella Twins & Paige | Six-Woman Tag Team Match
Jacy Jayne and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid defeated WWE Hall of Famers The Bella Twins and Paige, but that was only the beginning.
Nikki Bella looked stellar in her return from injury, taking out Fatal Influence in one fell swoop and getting a standing ovation from the massive crowd.
Fatal Influence took control by isolating Brie Bella, but Paige broke up the potential winning fall.
When all six Superstars found themselves in the ring, Jayne connected with a Rolling Encore to Paige to secure the victory for Fatal Influence.
After the match, The Bella Twins unleashed a shocking assault on Paige as the stunned WWE Universe watched.
Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk def. Cody Rhodes
CM Punk conquered Cody Rhodes to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship thanks to a shocking return.
The match began as a technical affair when the champion and challenger tried to one-up each other in a show of gamesmanship.
The savvy veterans began targeting limbs as the champion locked onto Rhodes’ arm and the challenger went after Punk’s knee, leaving both Superstars compromised.
Rhodes started heating up as he hit a Disaster Kick and a huge Super Cody Cutter, but it wasn’t enough for him to regain the Undisputed WWE Title.
The American Nightmare locked in a Figure-Four Leglock and ripped at Punk’s injured knee, but the champion found a way to break the hold via the bottom rope. Punk baited Rhodes and cinched in the Anaconda Vice, but Rhodes broke the hold in the same fashion.
Punk went for broke and attempted a Flying Elbow from the top rope through the announce table, but the challenger moved as the champion crashed through the hardwood.
Rhodes’ subsequent Disaster Kick went awry when he hit the official, leading to another Cross Rhodes.
Out of nowhere, Randy Orton returned and hit Rhodes with a thunderous RKO, allowing an unaware Punk to execute one final GTS to retain his title.
Oba Femi def. Brock Lesnar | Hell in a Cell Match
A devastating war inside Hell in a Cell saw only one Superstar exit the cage as the victor: Oba Femi.
The Ruler came out on fire as he crushed Lesnar with several running uppercuts, but The Beast caught him with three German Suplexes, only for Femi to rise like nothing happened.
The action came to the ringside area as the cage began to rip at the two Superstars, and Femi even crashed his opponent through a precariously placed table.
Lesnar answered with a massive attack using the steel steps, leaving The Ruler down and in trouble.
The hellacious assault from The Beast continued, forcing Femi to counter the F-5 into a pair of huge Chokeslams.
Lesnar shocked everyone inside U.S. Bank Stadium when he began ripping up the ring canvas, exposing the wooden boards underneath.
The Beast muscled up Femi for a shocking Tombstone onto the exposed wood, but Femi kicked out and continued to battle.
After smashing a steel chair out of Lesnar’s grip with a stiff right hand, The Ruler destroyed The Beast with a Fall From Grace to secure his victory.
After the match, Lesnar embraced his opponent, grabbed a microphone and declared Femi to be the future of WWE.
