Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara def. The Prime Time Players

Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara def. The Prime Time Players

ATLANTA — The high-flying tandem of Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara put themselves back in contention for the WWE Tag Team Titles with an emphatic victory over The Prime Time Players at WWE Hell in a Cell ( PHOTOS).

Looking for retribution against Darren Young & Titus O’Neil after suffering multiple attacks from the duo, the masked marvels aimed to get the match going at a fast pace, using their speed to keep Young one step behind. But The Prime Time Players were eventually able to muscle their way back into control of the bout. “Mr. No Days Off” and “The Real Deal” Titus O’Neil overpowered their masked opponents, trapping Sin Cara in their corner and battering him with constant blows.

After O’Neil took a few seconds too long to gloat, however, Sin Cara was able to evade an attack and tag his partner into action. Mysterio sped around the ring like a blue blur, sending Young into a dizzy spell that ended with him trapped in the ropes and on the receiving end of the 619, which claimed the victory for the masked duo.

After the bout, officials tended to Sin Cara, who appeared to be shaken up after getting his bell rung by the mighty O’Neil. He was on his feet shortly after, though, celebrating the triumph with his tag team partner.

The luchadores’ victory in Atlanta puts them back on track following their defeat in the final of the tournament to determine the No. 1 Contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships. But this won’t be the last time these two teams face off inside the squared circle. They’ll butt heads again this Wednesday on WWE Main Event in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. Mysterio and Sin Cara will team up with Randy Orton to take on Alberto Del Rio and The Prime Time Players.
