There’s an awesome battle brewing at the 2017 Loudwire Music Awards.

Seven-time Intercontinental Champion The Miz and influential heavy-metal guitarist Zakk Wylde will settle their recent war of words on social media by battling for virtual supremacy in a live WWE 2K18 showdown. The Awesome One answered Wylde’s challenge in a video on Twitter, confirming the on-stage battle would go down at the 2017 Loudwide Music Awards.

“If it’s a challenge you’re throwing out, then challenge accepted,” The Miz said.

In squaring off against Ozzy Osbourne’s longtime guitarist in the recently-released WWE 2K18, The Miz will vie to become the most “must-see” Superstar at this year’s Loudwire Music Awards. His claim to that distinction is not guaranteed, however, as he will share the spotlight with fellow Superstar and Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho, who is hosting this year’s show.

The first-ever 2017 Loudwire Music Awards will take place at The Novo in Los Angeles tonight at 7 p.m. PT. AXS TV will air the live, national TV broadcast.

The event will also be simultaneously live-streamed worldwide online on the Loudwire Facebook page and shared on the official WWE Facebook page as well as the official Facebook pages of Chris Jericho and The Miz.
