For almost a year now, Rusev Day has been a cool catchphrase and the foundation for some best-selling merchandise. Now, it’s an official holiday.
Last night, Knox County, Tenn. Mayor Tim Burchett declared yesterday Rusev Day at an auction attended by The Lion of Bulgaria himself, as well as Kane, who recently won a Republican primary race to potentially become the next Mayor of Knox County. Judging by the posts from Kane and Rusev, the latter was very pleasantly surprised by the official proclamation.
Great time tonight at @PowellAuction! Thanks to everyone who attended and helped out! And thanks to @timburchett for declaring it #RusevDay in Knox County! pic.twitter.com/rfgH9QpZp4

If Rusev’s WWE Title bid against AJ Styles goes well this Sunday, The Super Athlete’s trophy case will be getting very crowded indeed.
