Raw Women’s Title and United States Championship shrouded in controversy after The Horror Show at WWE Extreme Rules

The Horror Show at WWE Extreme Rules left us with more questions than answers around the Raw Women’s Championship and United States Title. Is Sasha Banks the new Raw Women’s Champion? Can the same be said for MVP and the United States Championship? And what will Asuka and Apollo Crews have to say about the titles no longer in their possession?

Sasha Banks left with the Raw Women’s Title after a whirlwind sequence. Asuka’s green mist — intended for The Boss — instead found referee Eddie Orengo. With Orengo blinded, Bayley, who retained the SmackDown Women’s Title earlier in the evening thanks to help from Banks, ripped the shirt off Orengo’s back and donned it herself to count her tag team partner’s pinfall on Asuka.

“The Golden Role Models” escaped with all four titles in a hurry, and they didn’t bother to stick around long afterward.

MVP boldly crowns himself United States Champion: The Horror Show at WWE Extreme Rules (WWE Network Exclusive)

After Apollo Crews was deemed unable to compete, MVP claims that he is now the deserving United States Champion. Catch WWE action on WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

Earlier in the evening, Apollo Crews wasn’t medically cleared to defend the United States Championship against MVP due to a bulging disc as a result of a previous onslaught by Bobby Lashley. MVP crowned himself as the new United States Champion with Crews not present to protest.

What do these controversial events mean for both title pictures going forward? Be sure to tune in to Raw tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network!
