WWE Champion Big E retains title with victory over Drew McIntyre
The two mammoth men tested each other’s strength early as neither Big E nor Drew McIntyre could take the other off their feet with respective shoulder tackles. The competition spilled to the outside of the ring where McIntyre caught Big E with a belly-to-belly suplex onto the floor.
The physicality continued inside the squared circle as Big E eventually caught McIntyre for three straight belly-to-belly suplexes, setting the stage for a massive splash from the champion. The two Superstars tossed each other around the ring in various feats of strength until Big E landed a Big Ending for a two-count.
McIntyre answered with a Running Bulldog off the top rope to Big E, setting up for a Claymore, but the champ ducked out of the way. As Big E went for a Spear through the ropes, McIntyre slipped into the ring and met a charging E with a Claymore for the near-fall.
The two exchanged blows before Big E caught McIntyre running off the ropes, spinning him up onto his shoulder and planting him with a Big Ending for the 1-2-3.
