ATLANTA –The final stop on The Road to WrestleMania rolled through SmackDown – fused with WrestleMania Axxess segments that heralded the full spirit of the impending Showcase of the Immortals. And in the explosive main event, the No. 1 contender to WWE Champion CM Punk reigned supreme over Team Teddy’s sparkplug Kofi Kingston.

Withstanding an absolutely ruthless assault from Drew McIntyre, Zack Ryder roared back, hitting the Rough Ryder for the huge victory over The Chosen One. Will his well-deserved momentum help Team Teddy triumph this Sunday?

With The Show of Shows two days away, Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler reported into SmackDown from WrestleMania Axxess throughout the night.

Big Show declares that this Sunday will be his WrestleMania moment

Although Cody Rhodes has proclaimed week after week that Big Show is a “choke artist” at WrestleMania, the giant promised the WWE Universe that his opponent on The Grandest Stage of Them All was about to get chokeslamed instead. In no uncertain terms, The World’s Largest Athlete declared that his illusive WrestleMania moment was about to earn him one Intercontinental Title.

This Sunday, Chris Jericho will challenge WWE Champion CM Punk for the biggest title that the squared circle has to offer. But first, “The best in the world at what he does” journeyed to SmackDown to lock horns with former Intercontinental and United States Champion Kofi Kingston – the high-octane Superstar who hopes to help Team Teddy to triumph at The Showcase of the Immortals.

Despite scoring several near falls in the fast-paced main event, Kofi ultimately fell short. Countering Trouble in Paradise, the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion locked him in the Walls of Jericho for the impressive submission victory.
