One of the more surprising competitors announced for the Mae Young Classic was mixed-martial artist Shayna Baszler, making her WWE debut as one of the 32 entrants in the historic tournament. Fittingly enough, Baszler — one of MMA’s “Four Horsewomen” — had some support: Former Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, who was also a Horsewoman alongside Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke, was in attendance for Baszler’s debut, as revealed by Triple H on Twitter.
The #MaeYoungClassic will celebrate and showcase female competitors from around the world. Great to have @RondaRousey join us tonight. pic.twitter.com/dQy9C1qFbH
