Lana's training hits a snag on Total Divas
With WrestleMania in the rearview mirror and Brie Bella officially retired, Natalya is ready to make an honest-to-goodness run at the new WWE Women’s Championship and its holder, Charlotte Flair. Two problems: One is the official return of Maryse, an intended surprise that Nattie sniffs out in about two seconds. The other is Lana, who wants Nattie to train her and won’t take no for an answer. The Ravishing Russian’s search for guidance becomes an imposition, then a liability when Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart tries to teach her shot put and she hurls the implement into Nattie’s windshield. But after Dana Brooke steals one of Lana’s moves in a match and leaves The Ravishing Russian in tears, Nattie realizes Lana’s persistence is a sign of her drive, and she adopts a more patient tactic with her new disciple.
As an Orlando, Fla., native, Naomi finds herself shaken by the tragedy at Pulse nightclub, so she requests a week off to go home and spend time with friends and family who were affected by the tragedy. Moved by their stories and experiences in the wake of the deadly attack, Naomi finds herself inspired to actively contribute to the recovery of the city. Ultimately, she and her uncle attend a vigil where Naomi not only reads a speech, but unveils a plaque commemorating the victims.

Despite Brie Bella’s retirement from the ring, she’s busier than ever. She and Nikki are recruited to grace the cover of Latina magazine and walk a red carpet at an event in support of their lingerie line, Birdiebee. Only problem is, Brie keeps trying to get home in order to begin starting a family with Daniel Bryan. Nikki is iffy about this turn of events, and keeps trying to talk Brie out of it. At first, Brie thinks it’s a combination of jealousy and selfishness on her business-oriented sister’s part, but turns out Nikki is worried that Bryan isn’t ready to have kids in light of his recent depression. Brie checks in with her husband and he admits that he’s worried about passing his depression onto their child, but their long-term plans still remain the same.
