Begrudgingly, only because he is the new ECW Champion, Chavo Guerrero is this week's MEP. However, let's review how Guerrero got his undeserving hands on the title.
Week 1: Chavo is given an opportunity to become No. 1 contender for CM Punk's ECW Championship by wrestling the champion himself.
Guererro loses to CM Punk by count-out.
Week 2: Guererro is given a second opportunity to become No. 1 contender for CM Punk's ECW Championship by wrestling the champion himself.
Guerrero loses by disqualification ... and then gets laid out by CM Punk's GTS.
Week 3: Guerrero is given a second opportunity to become No. 1 contender for CM Punk's ECW Championship by wrestling the champion himself.
Guerrero wins by count-out and earns an ECW Championship match only because World Heavyweight Champion Edge knocks CM Punk out cold from behind with his title.
Week 4: Chavo Guerrero's aunt, and Edge's lover, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guererro, persuades ECW General Manager Armando Estrada to make the ECW Championship Match No Disqualification.
Edge legally spears CM Punk in plain sight of referee Scott Armstrong and Chavo Guererro crawls on top of CM Punk to "win" the ECW Championship.
I look forward to seeing CM Punk exercise his rematch clause against Chavo Guerrero on a level playing field.
