Shayna Baszler causes a ruckus at the WWE Performance Center
Mae Young Classic finalist Shayna Baszler will make her NXT in-ring debut this Wednesday on WWE Network, but the former UFC fighter isn’t waiting until then to make her presence felt at the WWE Performance Center.
In a video posted by Baszler this afternoon on Twitter, The Queen of Spades is shown viciously interrupting a sparring session between fellow Mae Young Classic competitor Dakota Kai and WWE PC rookie Jessica Elaban.
In the clip, Baszler — who goes by the nickname The Submission Magician — offers to show Elaban the proper way to apply a submission hold, and Elaban, a former collegiate volleyball standout who joined the WWE PC last spring, agrees.
The footage then shows Baszler cinching in the hold and forcing Elaban to quickly tap out. Baszler maintains the hold after Elaban taps, despite the pleas of her fellow Superstars, before eventually releasing it as Kai rushes in.
The NXT Universe still remembers Baszler’s shocking appearance at Full Sail University on the Dec. 27 edition of NXT, when she ambushed Kairi Sane and put her to sleep with a submission.
What’s in store for the Superstars of NXT when Baszler officially steps between the yellow ropes? Find out this Wednesday when WWE NXT streams on WWE Network at 8/7 C.
