Zoey Stark def. Sol Ruca
Not many Superstars have generated as much buzz in recent weeks as Sol Ruca has, but the fierce Zoey Stark made it a point to put a stop to all the chatter.
Ruca started off hot, using her acrobatic offense to keep Stark off-balance, but a springboard splash went awry when Stark got her knees up.
The ferocious Stark didn’t let up after that and after a series of strong strikes, she hit her devastating knee lift to put Ruca away. However, her post match beatdown of Ruca didn’t go as planned as the athletic Ruca countered a move right into a Sol Snatcher.
Dabba-Kato def. Dante Chen
The monstrous Dabba-Kato returned to NXT at Vengeance Day and wasted little time making his presence felt inside the ring.
Dante Chen provided an admirable effort, but the strength of Dabba-Kato was just too much to overcome as every strike and move were delivered with immense power. Dabba-Kato mercifully ended the match after hitting a massive double chokeslam sit-out bomb on Chen.
Isla Dawn def. Tatum Paxley
The mysterious Isla Dawn has formed an unholy partnership with Alba Fyre, and she has now set her sights on Diamond Mine’s Tatum Paxley.
After earlier accusing her of being an inauthentic member of Diamond Mine, Dawn came out firing, brutally attacking Paxley with Fyre at ringside. Paxley tried to mount a comeback but it was to no avail as Dawn was relentless.
The match came to an end when Dawn got a twisted smile on her face and planted a helpless Paxley with a Tilt-A-Whirl Spinning Headlock Elbow Drop.
Carmelo Hayes def. JD McDonagh
After sweeping Apollo Crews 2-0 in their 2-out-of-3 Falls Match at Vengeance Day, Carmelo Hayes followed it up with another signature victory by downing JD McDonagh.
The two men went right at each other, not only getting their own offense in but countering the signature strikes of each as well. At one point McDonagh hit a Spanish Fly, but it couldn’t put Hayes away, much like how Hayes’ crossface couldn’t make McDonagh tap out.
Out of nowhere, Ilja Dragunov appeared, knocked down Trick Williams, which allowed Hayes enough time to roll up McDonagh for the win. Dragunov proceeded to chase McDonagh out of the arena, much to the surprise of Hayes.
Lyra Valkyria def. Valentina Feroz
The Irish high-flyer Lyra Valkyria continued her winning streak and maintained her momentum with an impressive win over Valentina Feroz.
The two women battled with Valkyria holding an edge thanks to a pair of nifty flipping counters, but the appearance of Elektra Lopez caused both women to take notice. When the referee had their back turned, Lopez flipped a pair of brass knuckles to Feroz, but she refused to use them.
The hesitation allowed Valkyria to hit an incredible dropkick and a picture perfect spin kick to win the match. t
Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo def. Odyssey Jones
The size and strength of Odyssey Jones looked insurmountable, but The Underboss of The Family Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo proved that he’s just as formidable.
Jones used that strength to throw Stacks around the ring as D’Angelo could only watch from the outside. Stacks, however, continued to fight, using his toughness to absorb all of the shots, and even nail a clutch DDT that staggered the big man.
Stacks set himself up in the corner and hit a running knee spike to put Odyssey away in what amounts to a big win for The Family.
Pretty Deadly def. Chase U
After both teams came up short in capturing the NXT Tag Team Championships at Vengeance Day, Chase U took advantage of a clearly disheveled Pretty Deadly.
Kit Wilson & Elton Prince were not their normal pompous selves and it showed as their offense was noticeably slower, something Andre Chase & Duke Hudson took advantage of.
The former Tag Team Champions were still tough to put away as both teams implemented their own signature tag team offense, but a frightened and traumatized Thea Hail appeared after being abducted earlier in the night by Ava Raine, forcing Hudson to leave the apron and comfort her.
The distraction allowed Pretty Deadly to Spilled Milk and earn the victory, but Chase U seemed more concerned about their teammate and peer than they did about the match.
Toxic Attraction implode during Ding Dong, Hello!
Coming up short against Roxanne Perez at Vengeance Day clearly weighed on the minds of Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne, but the partners seemed on the same wavelength during their appearance on Bayley’s talk show, Ding Dong, Hello!
However, everything changed when Jayne went ballistic, attacked Dolin, and put her through Bayley’s door on the set.
