Lizzy Rain and Kali Armstrong fought in a hotly contested battle to kick off NXT.

Rain hit a huge dive to the outside, but Armstrong answered with a superb powerslam and a picture-perfect spinebuster.

Rain countered a spinebuster by hitting a cutter for a two-count.

Rain went for a Thunderstruck, but Armstrong evaded the move before nailing the Kali Connection to win the match.

After the match, Skylar Rae entered the ring and attacked Armstrong.

Osiris Griffin & Cutler James def. Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux

Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux joined forces to battle Osiris Griffin and Cutler James of DarkState.

Legacy and DVD ran rampant on DarkState, hitting high-impact dives to subdue Griffin and James.

DVD hit a double moonsault on DarkState before Legacy hit multiple dives to the outside on Griffin and James.

Just as DVD and Legacy were rolling, Dion Lennox arrived to strike DVD behind the referee's back, allowing DarkState to hit the powerbomb to win the match.

Montana lit up Smokes with chops to the chest.

Montana countered Smokes with a debilitating Samoan drop that left Smokes out of breath.

Smokes hit a slingshot spear on Prosper.

Montana and Prosper combined for an electric assisted hurricanrana from the top rope on Smokes before each hit a dive to the floor.

NXT North American Champion Jackson Drake clobbered Montana with a big boot at ringside, forcing the official to eject Drake.

With the referee's back turned, Smokes pinned Prosper while Baylor held Prosper's legs to get the controversial victory.

D'Angelo tried lifting Rook, but D'Angelo's back gave out, allowing Rook to hit a super splash to get the win.
