Wembley Stadium - London, England

SummerSlam went overseas for the first time in 1992 when it emanated from Wembley Stadium in London, England. England's own British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith faced Bret "Hit Man" Hart for the Intercontinental Championship in one of the most memorable main events in SummerSlam history. The hometown crowd rallied behind Davey Boy and helped guide him to the big victory.

But Wembley Stadium has been host to several more memorable moments and events. Originally known as The Empire Stadium, it was opened in 1924. The first event in the stadium was the White Horse Cup Final. Lights were added in 1955 and the encircling roof was added in 1963. In addition to several famous soccer and rugby matches, it also hosted the famous Live Aid concert in 1985.
