Tale of the Tape: ECW World Champion Big Show vs. Sabu
After weeks of being denied a chance at Big Show and the ECW World Title, Sabu will finally get his opportunity at SummerSlam. This will be the first time the ECW brand has participated in the Biggest Party of the Summer and it is sure to be a highlight of the night.
It will also be the SummerSlam debut of the Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal, Death-Defying Maniac. It could be argued that Sabu is undefeated at the summer spectacular, but he also has no wins. However, if Sabu's sneak attacks on the champion over the past several weeks are any indication, he will do anything to get want he wants, including throwing his body in harm's way.
Big Show has a slightly longer SummerSlam record - emphasis on slightly; the ECW World Champion has a perfect 1-0 record. In 1999, he teamed with Undertaker to take on World Tag Team Champions X-Pac & Kane. The big man gave X-Pac a vicious chokeslam before Undertaker nailed him with a Tombstone and the pin for the gold.
Even though both Extremists have long and legendary careers, both have little to no history at SummerSlam. It will be a night of firsts as ECW and Sabu make their debut at the summer spectacular, and one man will receive his first SummerSlam loss.
