Compaq Center - San Jose, CA
The arena opened in 1993, and there are 33,000 cubic yards of concrete in the new building, the equivalent of a 3-foot sidewalk running from the building's main entrance to the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. The HP Pavilion at San Jose's convenient downtown location allows ticket holders to take full advantage of an urban setting with plenty of restaurants and clubs and a host of transportation alternatives.
The Golden State Warriors of the NBA used to play their home guys at the HP Pavillion, but they moved out in 1997. The San Jose Sharks of the NHL are current tenants of the venue. SummerSlam came to the HP Pavillion in 2001 as The Rock faced Booker T for the WCW Championship and Kurt Angle battled Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWE Championship.
