WrestleMania Saturday
SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey
WINNER: Ronda Rousey
MIKE BURDICK: Look for the most Stupendous WrestleMania to also be the Baddest. Although nobody can deny the ability of Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey will not be denied and will ultimately make The Opportunity tap out to claim the SmackDown Women's Title.
WINNER: Charlotte Flair
BRAD ZAK: All three of Flair’s wins at WrestleMania have come by submission, and even The Baddest Woman on the Planet isn’t immune to a Figure-Eight Leg Lock.
WINNER: Ronda Rousey
JON CHIK: Not everybody can return to WWE for the first time in nearly three years and immediately triumph against 29 other competitors in a Royal Rumble Match, but Ronda Rousey isn’t just anybody. And if you thought her fiery verbal confrontations and vicious brawls with Charlotte Flair have been entertaining… well, you’re right. But there’s no substitute for a WrestleMania instant classic that will see two generational talents pummel each other with vicious strikes and agonizing submission holds before The Baddest Woman on the Planet narrowly edges The Opportunity with the armbar.
WINNER: Ronda Rousey
NATHAN BRYANT: Charlotte Flair’s in-ring capability is top tier, and she has found a whole new level of aggression in preparation for her match with Ronda Rousey, but you don’t earn the nickname “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” for no reason. With Rousey’s mastering of the ankle lock, Flair will regret provoking the former MMA Champion.
Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair
WINNER: Becky Lynch
BURDICK: Although Bianca Belair won the SmackDown Women's Title last year at WrestleMania, lightning does not strike twice. Like her or loathe her, Big Time Becks will walk off The Grandest Stage of Them All with the Raw Women's Title still in her possession, regardless of how little hair she has left on her head.
WINNER: Bianca Belair
ZAK: Sorry Big Time Becks, The EST was born for the spotlight of The Grandest Stage of Them All.
WINNER: Bianca Belair
CHIK: At WrestleMania and SummerSlam in 2021 – possibly WWE’s two biggest Premium Live Events – Bianca Belair experienced the highest of highs when she triumphed over Sasha Banks in the main event of The Showcase of the Immortals, then suffered an embarrassing 26-second defeat to Becky Lynch at The Biggest Event of the Summer. Belair has had eight months to think about the latter, and she’ll achieve a bona fide WrestleMania moment for the second straight year when she finally gets payback against Big Time Becks.
WINNER: Becky Lynch
BRYANT: This is really a battle between the head and the heart. My heart would love to see Bianca Belair raise a title at WrestleMania for the second straight year, but my head can’t deny the run Becky Lynch is on right now after taking the title from The EST of WWE in 26 seconds at SummerSlam. And maybe the third time's the charm for Belair, but I still think the Vincent Van GOAT will paint another masterpiece on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin to confront Kevin Owens on "The KO Show"
WINNER: Five Stunners and Three beers
BURDICK: One last can of whoop a** is one last can of whoop a**. Sorry Kevin Owens, but that's like science.
WINNER: Texas breweries in general I guess
ZAK: AT&T Stadium is going to be rocking when “Stone Cold” Steve Austin hits “The Stunner Heard Round The World,” and the Lone Star masses all toast the night with a frosty “Steveweiser.”
WINNER: Three Stunners and at least four Steveweisers
CHIK: The WWE Universe should expect one of the single-greatest episodes of any WWE talk show in history. Kevin Owens will initiate physicality, but it will backfire when “Stone Cold” fights back, lands at least three Stunners and pounds at least four Steveweisers.
WINNER: A Broken Skull American Lager... or nine.
BRYANT: There is no doubt in my mind that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will raise some hell on "The KO Show,” and then he’ll drink a beer, he’ll drink another beer, three beers, four beers, five beers, six beers, seven beers, eight beers, nine beers and a bloody mary.
Rey & Dominik Mysterio vs. The Miz & Logan Paul
WINNER: Rey & Dominik Mysterio
BURDICK: Maybe it's because of The Miz's comments against Cleveland several weeks ago. Maybe it's Logan Paul's childhood admiration for The Legendary Luchador. Whatever the reason, I have the feeling that Paul will ultimately turn on The A-Lister and help Rey & Dominik Mysterio pick up the victory at The Show of Shows.
WINNER: Rey & Dominik Mysterio
ZAK: The Miz got a laugh by stealing the luchador’s iconic mask, but at WrestleMania 38 payback will be spelled 6-1-9.
WINNER: Rey & Dominik Mysterio
CHIK: Rey Mysterio was uncharacteristically (and understandably) livid after having his mask stolen, and his animosity was on full display when he defeated The Miz on Raw with a rollup. It’ll be more of the same when The Mysterios overwhelm The A-Lister and Logan Paul and finally drop the YouTube star with the double 619, which narrowly missed its mark on Raw.
WINNER: Rey & Dominik Mysterio
BRYANT: Logan Paul may be WrestleMania ready if you are to believe his tag team partner The Miz, but there is no preparing for nearly three decades of experience. It would’ve already been a tough battle with one of the best in history, but after making it personal by ripping Rey Mysterio’s mask off on Monday Night Raw, The A-Lister and Paul are in for a world of trouble.
Drew McIntyre vs. Happy Corbin
WINNER: Drew McIntyre
BURDICK: Happy Corbin will not be laughing when The SmackDown Warrior is finished with him. He will, however, be sore from the Claymore Kick after from frantically ducking Angela as he as Madcap Moss retreat back to the locker rooms.
WINNER: Drew McIntyre
ZAK: Drew has a sword. Happy Corbin has a hat. This is easy math.
WINNER: Drew McIntyre
CHIK: Let’s think about this logically: Drew McIntyre just defeated Happy Corbin AND Madcap Moss in a Handicap Match on Raw. How in the world is Corbin going to beat the former WWE Champion by his lonesome?
WINNER: Drew McIntyre
BRYANT: There will be no one laughing after Drew McIntyre gets his hands on Happy Corbin.
SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs
WINNER: Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs
BURDICK: The Ones will finally fall to ... "twooooooooo!" as the rockin' duo of The Artist and his powerful Head-Banging Herald lay claim to the gold.
WINNER: The Usos
ZAK: SPOILER ALERT: The Bloodline is ready to run WrestleMania 38.
WINNER: The Usos
CHIK: At first glance, Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs would seem to have the upper hand given that they picked up recent singles wins on SmackDown against Jimmy and Jey, respectively. Nevertheless, The Usos always seem to rise to the occasion in tag team competition, particularly when tandem titles are on the line.
WINNER: The Usos
BRYANT: The Ones will remain just that. The one and only longest-reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions. Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs will make for quite a battle, but in the end The Usos will raise their fingers and add yet another pair of Superstars into the overflowing “Uso Penitentiary.”
Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus and Ridge Holland
WINNER: Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston
BURDICK: For several weeks, Butch has had to be restrained by Sheamus. Look for that tradition to end when the tough-as-nails Superstar costs his cohorts the matchup by disqualifacation with a extracurricular beatdown.
WINNER: Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods
ZAK: The brawlers from across the pond create an imposing challenge, but Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods are going to have Dallas rocking with The Power of Positivity.
WINNER: Sheamus and Ridge Holland
CHIK: Having won nearly ever championship in existence (and even one or two that are no longer in existence), Sheamus is a slam-dunk, first-ballot Hall of Famer and is a deadly opponent when he’s flying solo. Put him with Ridge Holland and Butch, and you’re looking at a faction that could eventually surpass The New Day, and that starts at WrestleMania.
WINNER: Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston
BRYANT: Not that they needed it, but after Ridge Holland injured Big E, Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston have all the extra motivation they need to put an end to Sheamus and his mate Holland. Provided they can keep Butch from getting involved.
WrestleMania Sunday
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns (Winner Take All Championship Unification Match)
WINNER: Roman Reigns
BURDICK: It's not going to be pretty in The Biggest WrestleMania Match of All Time, but when the carnage settles, The Beast will be slain and The Head of the Table will stand above him in "God Mode" as the Undisputed Champion.
WINNER: Roman Reigns
ZAK: I have no choice but to acknowledge him. What’s after "God Mode"? Because that’s where we’re headed.
WINNER: Roman Reigns
CHIK: As Roman Reigns recently stated, the only thing he hasn’t done in his incredible career is defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Now that he’s in "God Mode," he’ll accomplish that feat as well.
WINNER: Roman Reigns
BRYANT: Say what you will, but this is a rivalry that parallels and rivals that of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Rock and I believe that the third meeting in the trilogy between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania will be the best. This version of Brock Lesnar has been simply incredible, but that means nothing when you’re sitting across from The Head of the Table. Roman Reigns truly is in "God Mode," and he will cement that fact by finally slaying The Beast on The Grandest Stage of Them All to become the new Undisputed Champion.
Johnny Knoxville vs. Sami Zayn
WINNER: Sami Zayn
BURDICK: Johnny Knoxville has lived up to his reputation as one tough pranker. At The Showcase of the Immortals, though, the in-ring expertise of The Master Strategist will take full advantage of the Anything Goes stipulation, and that will definitely prove to be too much for the star of "Jackass Forever."
WINNER: Johnny Knoxville
ZAK: You’re telling me a man who built his career flying through shopping carts and being strapped to rockets is competing in an Anything Goes Match? Give me the “Jackass Forever” star to pull off one of his biggest stunts yet.
WINNER: Johnny Knoxville
CHIK: Sami Zayn would certainly be the favorite to defeat Johnny Knoxville in a straight-up singles bout, but an Anything Goes Match feels like the right kind of environment for a Jackass to thrive.
WINNER: Sami Zayn
BRYANT: If there’s one thing we know about Johnny Knoxville it’s his ability to take a lot of punishment and continue to ask for more. And while that will come in handy during his Anything Goes Match, I don’t think it will be enough to outlast Sami Zayn sadly.
Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro vs. The Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy
WINNER: The Street Profits
BURDICK: Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford have been waiting a long time to reclaim tag team gold, and the free-for-all nature of a Triple Threat Match is the perfect opportunity for them to rise above the rest.
WINNER: RK-Bro
ZAK: Randy Orton is going for an impressive eighth career win at The Show of Shows, and Riddle is ready to throw the most stupendous two-day party in history.
WINNER: RK-Bro
CHIK: Against all odds, Randy Orton and Riddle have become the standard-bearers for tag team competition, and they already have a Match of the Year candidate to their names after winning the Raw Tag Team Titles back from Alpha Academy in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match that also included Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. In a bout that looks like it could steal the weekend, another Riddle-assisted RKO leads to a hard-earned title retention.
WINNER: RK-Bro
BRYANT: If I’m being honest, I would be happy if any of these three teams won. Alpha Academy have been spectacular as of late and Chad Gable is an amazing pure athlete and the same can be said for The Street Profits. I like seeing a new intensity from Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins and I hope it takes them to a new level, but I have to go with my hometown hero and longtime favorite Randy Orton and his partner Riddle. An odd pairing for sure, but the two have been firing on all cylinders and if it means I get more vintage Orton and RKOs out of nowhere then sign me up.
Edge vs. AJ Styles
WINNER: Edge
BURDICK: The old saying goes, "How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice." Well, Edge got to the WWE Hall of Fame by practicing an unmatched intensity and an unrelenting ability to seize every opportunity. Top that off with the fact that The Rated-R Superstar is now operating on a whole different level and not even The Phenomenal One will be able to bring him down.
WINNER: Edge
ZAK: AJ Styles may have been buried alive at WrestleMania 36, but The Phenomenal One is in store for a new level of darkness at WrestleMania 38.
WINNER: Edge
CHIK: As much as the WWE Universe would like to see AJ Styles get sweet redemption for Edge’s heinous attack that included two Con-Chair-Tos, Edge is borderline unbeatable whenever he turns to the dark side. The calculated, unfeeling competitor will lean into his newfound brutality and outlast Styles in one of the most physical clashes of the weekend.
WINNER: AJ Styles
BRYANT: Edge wanted the old AJ Styles back, and he’s going to regret that. After multiple brutal chair attacks, The Phenomenal One is going to claw his way up The Rated-R Superstar’s “Mountain of Omnipotence” and send Edge tumbling back down to Earth with a Phenomenal Forearm.
Bobby Lashley vs. Omos
WINNER: Omos
BURDICK: Omos has conquered everybody put in front of him, and Bobby Lashley will be the All Mightiest defeat yet.
WINNER: Omos
ZAK: What’s an All Mighty to a colossus? Omos had his breakout moment at last year’s WrestleMania and is ready to break everything this year in a massive matchup with the former WWE Champion.
WINNER: Bobby Lashley
CHIK: In the past year, Bobby Lashley has twice won the WWE Championship and has defeated titans such as Brock Lesnar, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Goldberg and Randy Orton. The towering Omos is not to be taken lightly and could very well become a World Champion in the not-too-distant future, but it’s hard to bet against Lashley and his dominant track record.
WINNER: Bobby Lashley
BRYANT: It’s going to be interesting to see Omos be able to fully go at it with a competitor who can dish out punishment just as much as he can take it. Will it require an amazing feat of strength from Bobby Lashley to end Omos’ undefeated streak? Most definitely. Can The All Mighty pull it off? Without a doubt.
Women’s Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina & Carmella vs. Sasha Banks & Naomi vs. Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan vs. Natalya & Shayna Baszler
WINNER: Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan
BURDICK: All four teams come to the WWE Women's Tag Team Title Match with their own list of advantages, but no tandem has the perfect mixture of brutal toughness and explosive energy that Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan do. It's time to Liv the Nightmare!
WINNER: Sasha Banks & Naomi
ZAK: The Boss & The GLOW have been clicking ever since teaming up on the blue brand, and the two former SmackDown Women’s Champions are ready to hold gold again.
WINNER: Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan
CHIK: By its very nature, a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match guarantees unpredictability and chaos. And though none of these duos have been teaming together for a long time, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan seem like they would thrive in such an environment.
WINNER: Sasha Banks & Naomi
BRYANT: This match has me torn because it could go any number of ways but one thing is for sure, with the sheer amount of talent in that ring and the odds stacked against them, it seems very unlikely Carmella & Queen Zelina will be walking out of WrestleMania still holding their titles. With multiple former tag team champions in the mix it’s going to be a fun match, but I think Dallas will Feel the Glow when Naomi wins her first Women’s Tag Team Title while The Boss becomes the first three-time Women’s Tag Team Champion.
Pat McAfee vs. Austin Theory
WINNER: Pat McAfee
BURDICK: Pat McAfee is the storm that will catch Austin Theory without a raincoat. Enough said.
WINNER: Austin Theory
ZAK: I’m a company man, and I know a pick against Mr. McMahon’s protégé has NO CHANCE. Wear something nice Pat because Austin Theory is making it a picture-perfect WrestleMania.
WINNER: Austin Theory
CHIK: Though Pat McAfee impressed during a handful of matches in NXT, he’ll be competing in his first bout in nearly a year-and-a-half against the promising Austin Theory, who is firing on all cylinders and looks like a future champion in the making.
WINNER: Pat McAfee
BRYANT: Pat McAfee is going to surprise a lot of people who aren’t familiar with his previous experiences in the ring. Mr. McMahon may have a new protégé after this one.
