Apex Predator battles against a stacked deck?

SmackDown Five-Point Preview: Mar. 1, 2013

While Randy Orton is arguably one of the most dangerous Superstars in WWE history, there is no doubt he will have a giant challenge in front of him when he enters the SmackDown arena tonight. In a mega-sized main event bout, WWE’s Apex Predator will square off against Big Show, one-on-one, on the explosive special event, Social Media SmackDown.

And as if a showdown against The World’s Largest Athlete isn’t enough to tackle in one night, there is also the distinct possibility The Shield will be out for retribution. After all, The Viper (along with Sheamus) got the better of the treacherous trio Monday on Raw. ( WATCH)

Can Orton overcome the sky-high odds that are stacked squarely against him?

Add in WWE Active, the revolutionary second-screen experience, and it’s safe to say that the WWE Universe has become a huge influence over what happens inside the squared circle.

Will J.R. try to talk some sense into Swagger?

The Miz welcomes Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter to the set of "Miz TV": Raw, Feb. 25, 2013

The Miz hosts a controversial edition of "Miz TV" when the guests are World Champion Alberto Del Rio, as well as Jack Swagger & Zeb Colter.

Following World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio’s incendiary faceoff with No. 1 contender Jack Swagger and his controversial mentor, Zeb Colter, on “Miz TV” Monday night, the “Real American” has agreed to take questions from WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross on the blue brand.

Yes, Good Ol’ J.R. will make a special SmackDown appearance in his hometown of Oklahoma City tonight. Will the man who first brought Swagger to WWE look to talk some sense into his fellow Boomer Sooner?

As the war of words will unquestionably escalate with their WrestleMania confrontation drawing nearer, are Del Rio and Swagger headed for another not-so-friendly face-to-face? Something’s gotta give in the heated exchange between the two determined Superstars who have yet to engage each other physically since their match was set for The Showcase of the Immortals. But the question remains, what … and, perhaps more pertinently, who, will pay the price when tensions erupt?

Who will get 2-out-of-3 Falls and the U.S. Title?

The Miz vs. Antonio Cesaro - No Disqualification Match: Raw, Feb. 18, 2013

The Miz tries to get some retribution from United States Champion Antonio Cesaro in a No Disqualification Match.

United States Champion Antonio Cesaro and The Miz have developed an intense rivalry over the past few months. And there’s no sign to indicate any of that will change in their continued struggle over the United States Championship.

After The Awesome One’s Raw victory over the champion a couple weeks back, The Swiss Superman will put his U.S. Title on the line in what will undoubtedly be an epic and physical 2-out-of-3 Falls Match tonight on Social Media SmackDown. With Cesaro’s frightening strength, the champion is capable of turning momentum in a match around in one move, as we’ve seen time and again. His outspoken challenger is not only determined to get back on top, but also has an extremely dangerous finisher in the Figure-Four Leglock. And with the special stipulation in place, there will be some breathing room for the competitors to showcase their in-ring abilities.

Although Miz has gotten the best of Cesaro recently, he’s come up short in title matches and on the pay-per-view stage against the scary strong Superstar. So can The Awesome One finally take down his rival with the championship gold on the line?

What will Fandango bring to the blue brand?

Fandango debuts - This Friday on SmackDown on Syfy at 8/7 CT

For weeks now, the WWE Universe has been teased with vignettes featuring a mysterious, dancing figure calling himself, simply, Fandango. Only, his pronunciation of the name is a little more … well, pronounced … than that.

Either way, little is known about this Fandango character, but this past Monday on Raw we learned that he will, in fact, make his SmackDown premiere tonight!

Just what might he have in store for the blue brand?
