Bret Hart (spot No. 27) and Lex Luger (spot No. 23) declared co-winners of the Royal Rumble Match

This was the only year in the history of the Royal Rumble Match that saw co-winners declared. Bret Hart (spot No. 27) and Lex Lugar (No. 23) were the final two competitors, and their feet hit the floor at exactly the same time. After much confusion, co-victors were announced. It was at the 1994 Royal Rumble that Diesel made a long-remembered statement with his dominant effort. Diesel cleaned house and tied the elimination record at the time, posting seven eliminations (all consecutively). It then took five Superstars to get rid of the big man.
