Heath Slater returned to confront WWE Champion Drew McIntyre
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre was expecting to learn what stipulation Dolph Ziggler was choosing for their match at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules as Raw kicked off. Instead, he was confronted by The Showoff, who brought Heath Slater, McIntyre’s close friend and former 3MB teammate. But this wasn’t a happy reunion, as Slater wanted to know why McIntyre hasn’t been there for him and to demand a match after a slap in the face.

Drew McIntyre def. Heath Slater
Slater pounced on the WWE Champion right at the opening bell, perhaps catching McIntyre off-guard. However, McIntyre regrouped and put his friend down for the three-count with a thunderous Claymore. After the bell, Ziggler berated Slater and attacked him before the WWE Champion returned to chase Ziggler off and patch things up with Slater.

Kairi Sane vs. Sasha Banks ended in a No-contest
When Bayley boasted that her best friend Sasha Banks was ready for anyone, she may not have banked on Asuka bringing out Kairi Sane to take on The Blueprint. Despite being out of action for nearly five weeks, Sane brought the fight to The Boss and nearly defeated Banks until Bayley jumped in the ring to attack her. That set off a wild brawl that culminated with Sane dropping an Insane Elbow on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at ringside.

Rey Mysterio & Kevin Owens def. Seth Rollins & Murphy to earn the right to choose the stipulation for Mysterio vs. Rollins at Extreme Rules
Coming out of an intense edition of “The KO Show,” this tag team battle was made to determine the stipulation for the clash between Mysterio and The Monday Night Messiah at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules. After Mysterio pinned Murphy to win the match, he declared that he wanted payback on Rollins in truly horrific fashion. The two will clash in an “Eye for an Eye” Match – a battle where the only way to win is to extract one of your opponent’s eyes. Mysterio’s decision left everyone, even Rollins, in absolute shock.

MVP unveiled a new United States Championship
Believing that he is the rightful United States Champion after pinning Apollo Crews last week, MVP revealed a new look for the United States Championship ahead of his title showdown with Crews at Extreme Rules. Ricochet & Cedric Alexander took umbrage with MVP’s assertion, leading to a tag team match being made on the spot.

Bobby Lashley & MVP def. Ricochet & Cedric Alexander
Ricochet & Alexander put up a solid fight against The All Mighty and MVP, but there was no stopping Lashley, as he turned Alexander inside out with a Spear to pick up the victory.

Randy Orton, Andrade & Angel Garza def. Big Show & The Viking Raiders
While The Viking Raiders were out for payback after Andrade & Garza’s victory last week, Big Show was out to put an end to Randy Orton’s ruthless ways. But The Viper had the last laugh, as he caught Erik with an RKO to get the win for his team.

Billie Kay def. Ruby Riott
Ruby Riott set out to once again prove herself against The IIconics, who continued to mock her for not having anyone in her corner. Billie Kay & Peyton Royce may have a point, though, as a timely distraction from Royce was just the assist Kay needed to put Riott down for the three-count.

Raw Women’s Champion Asuka def. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley in a Champion vs. Champion Match
Bayley may have been focused on Asuka heading into Raw’s main event, but she also had to keep an eye on her Extreme Rules opponent, Nikki Cross, who first arrived to join the commentary team, until she was hauled out of the arena. But at the match’s apex, Cross found a way back into the building, banging on the ringside plexiglass, which distracted the SmackDown Women’s Champion and set off a chain of events that led to Asuka gaining the pinfall victory, proving that she just may be the superior women’s champion in WWE.
