Noam Dar def. Kenny Williams in an NXT UK Heritage Cup No. 1 Contender’s Tournament Semifinal Match, 2-1

In a collision of arguably the two most dastardly and underhanded competitors in the eight-Superstar tournament, Noam Dar and Kenny Williams played a never-ending game of one-upmanship throughout their semifinal matchup.

In Round 1 alone, Williams yanked Dar’s hair and stomped on his foot, Dar dragged his elbow across Williams’ nose, and each snuck in a right hand after the bell. Williams appeared to feign an injury late in Round 2, and when Dar charged him, The Scum of the Earth rolled him up and used a handful of tights to claim the pinfall and the 1-0 advantage.

After a scoreless Round 3, Williams loosened the turnbuckle in Round 4, but the move backfired when Dar tossed his water bottle at Williams, who was caught by the ref. As Williams protested, Dar caught him in an excruciating kneebar to force the tapout and tie the match at 1-1.

In the final minute of Round 5, Sha Samuels emerged from under the ring and grabbed Williams’ leg as The Scum of the Earth was trying to reenter the squared circle. With Williams unable to move, Dar blasted him with a kick to the head and followed up with the Nova Roller for the 1-2-3.

With the controversial victory, Dar advanced to the tournament finale and will face the winner of Wolfgang vs. Teoman in the other semifinal bout.

NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov was confronted by several potential challengers

Having perhaps finally processed the enormity of his legendary NXT UK Title victory over the dominant WALTER, newly crowned champion Ilja Dragunov joined the arena via satellite and admitted that he is happy for the first time in a long time.

Recalling the mental and physical anguish he endured en route to climbing the mountain, The Mad Russian openly pondered who would be next to challenge him.

One by one, Nathan Frazer, Rampage Brown and A-Kid hit the squared circle and stated their respective cases to take on the champion. Assistant to the General Manager Sid Scala responded by suggesting a No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match for next week, much to the delight of Dragunov.

After the announcement, Brown forcefully drove his shoulder into Frazer’s chest while exiting the ring, and a three-man scrap ensued with Brown standing tall above his foes.

Emilia McKenzie def. Stevie Turner

Emilia McKenzie won’t stand for slander against NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura.

In fact, she proved just as much when Stevie Turner confronted The Final Boss last week in the backstage area, stepping between the two and issuing a challenge.

Turner showed off her own mean streak when she blasted her foe with a knee to the face and a kick to the head, but McKenzie scored the 1-2-3 after folding Turner with a textbook German suplex and landing double knees to the face.

Turner attempted to make her exit during the break, only to be savagely attacked by Blair Davenport, who leveled her with a unique suplex, looked straight into the camera and demanded that Sid Scala reinstate her.

NXT UK Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly def. Gallus

Despite the name of their tag team, Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley don’t always win in pretty fashion.

In fact, their title bout against The Coffey Brothers was chockful of nasty haymakers, ring-rattling impact moves and underhanded tactics.

Pretty Deadly went to the bag of tricks early, as Howley tagged out of the match, lunged at Mark Coffey’s foot and held him in place for Stoker to enter the ring and land a wicked right hand.

After absorbing tremendous punishment during a wild four-man fight around the ringside area, Joe Coffey deposited Howley back into the ring and launched himself off the top turnbuckle to land a high-impact dropkick, resulting in the longest of two-counts.

The Coffey brothers followed up by landing their devastating high-low maneuver, but Stoker broke up the pinfall. And after saving Howley from being clobbered by Mark Coffey, Stoker received the tag and joined forces with his partner to land Spilled Milk for an edge-of-your-seat victory.
