Level Up

Javier Bernal def. Ru Feng

Don’t look now, but Javier Bernal has won each of his last two matches on NXT Level Up, having recently defeated Hank Waller before toppling Ru Feng tonight.

And though Bernal defeated Waller in questionable fashion by grabbing the ropes during a pinfall, there was no such controversy against Feng.

“The Dragon” staggered “Big Body Javi” with a series of kicks and a jumping knee strike, but Bernal kicked out and soon sealed the victory by leaping into the air and planting Feng face-first into the mat.

Thea Hail def. Valentina Feroz

One of the breakthrough stars on NXT Level Up, a confident Valentina Feroz bounded to the ring and looked like a Superstar that was primed to pick up her third straight win on the brand.

Thea Hail had other plans, as the pride of Chase University matched Feroz’s enthusiasm and rocked her foe by fighting out of a submission hold and planting her with a body slam.

Feroz got back on track with a spear that drew a long two-count, but Hail suddenly escaped a sleeper hold with a nifty rollup and kept Feroz’s shoulders to the mat for the 1-2-3.

Edris Enofé & Malik Blade def. Ikemen Jiro & Guru Raaj

Though still just getting started in WWE, Edris Enofé and Malik Brade are quickly proving that their theme music, which proclaims “I’m far from a rookie,” is right on the mark.

Having soared to new heights (both literally and figuratively) since forming their tandem, Enofé and Blade never missed a beat during their match against the intriguing, first-time tandem of Ikemen Jiro and Guru Raaj.

After a dizzying display of athleticism by all four competitors, Jiro had Enofé in dire straits with several Jacket Punches and a swanton, but Enofé dodged the Ikemen Slash and tagged in Blade. Seconds later, Enofé and Blade teamed up to hit the Climax on Jiro, and Blade scored the pinfall.
