Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho & Big Show def. Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes

PHILADELPHIA - After Chris Jericho made the jaw-dropping announcement to the capacity crowd at Night of Champions that the immense Big Show would stand by his side in his Unified Tag Team Championship Match, the elite combination reigned supreme over Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes to secure the gold.

From the opening bell, it was clear that Big Show and Jericho would be a force to be reckoned with. Despite a known "dislike" that the two Superstars have had for each other in the past, they showed incredible chemistry, which further complemented their tremendous individual abilities. Once The Legacy overcame the shock of the team they would be facing, they fought back valiantly, incorporating every bit of their enormous skill in an impressive attempt to best their opponents. But after Jericho introduced the Codebreaker and Big Show locked in the devastating Colossal Clutch on Ted DiBiase, victory was inevitable.

The wheels for this incredible pairing were first set in motion on Monday Night Raw. Special guest host The Million Dollar Man used the power bestowed on him to grant his son, Ted DiBiase, & Cody Rhodes a championship rematch against Unified Tag Team Champions Edge & Chris Jericho. But with the injury The Rated-R Superstar suffered to his Achilles tendon, the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion revealed a stunning plan.

The arrogant Jericho informed the WWE Universe that he was always wary of his "injury-prone" partner and had a clause written into his contract allowing him to choose any partner he wishes as a replacement should Edge get hurt. Jericho promised to reveal his new tag team partner before the title match at Night of Champions and not a moment sooner, leaving his opponents little time to shift tactics.

Jericho & Edge captured the Unified titles at The Bash, after SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long, feeling the pressure from Mr. McMahon to shake things up, added his two SmackDown Superstars to the match at the last minute. Rhodes & DiBiase, who had earned their championship bout against then-champions Carlito & Primo, carried a great deal of bad blood into their Night of Champions rematch. But, the explosive combination of Jericho and his dominating, last-minute partner were just too enormous for them to handle.

Jericho & Big Show now sit high atop the mountain, sharing the throne of ultimate tag team superiority. And the ‘big" question is, what tag team will dare to try and knock them off?
