Fateful reunion

MILWAUKEE -- Still seething after losing the ECW Championship to Matt Hardy at Unforgiven, a vengeful Mark Henry demanded a rematch on ECW on Sci Fi. While Hardy declared he wanted to be the greatest ECW Champion of all time, the World's Strongest Man interrupted and attacked the new champ. But, Hardy quickly turned the tables on Henry and his cohort, WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas, leaving Henry on the ground ringside and Atlas face-down in the ring after a Twist of Fate.

The rivals met again in tag team action later in the night as Hardy teamed up with Finlay and Hornswoggle to face Henry and Mike Knox. While Hornswoggle distracted Henry, and Finlay hit the World's Strongest Man with a shillelagh, Hardy delivered a devastating Twist of Fate and pinned an already bloodied Knox for the win. Once again, the ECW Champion reigned victorious, but similar to the finish of the ECW Scramble Match at Unforgiven, Hardy didn't pin Henry for the win, leaving the World's Strongest Man still hungry to regain ECW's top prize.

Also on ECW, John Morrison prevailed over Evan Bourne as The Miz did more than just sit idly by at ringside. Seeking revenge for being defeated by Bourne & Rey Mysterio on Raw the previous night, The Miz distracted the high-flying Bourne while he was on the top rope. Morrison took that opportunity to hit Bourne with a kick, knocking him to the ground and picking up the pin.

"The All-American American" Jack Swagger made his first ECW appearance on Tuesday night as he faced local competitor Josh Daniels. Swagger, who joined the Land of the Extreme as part of ECW General Manager Theodore Long's New Superstar Initiative, was successful in his debut after leveling Daniels with a Blue Thunder Bomb for the win.
