Family feud

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Edge kicked off his special edition of The Cutting Edge on ECW with a bang, as ECW Champion Kane was the guest of honor. The show also ended with a bang -- the sound of Kane's skull being driven into the canvas.

The host spent much of his time targeting the Big Red Machine's difficult life and his dysfunctional family background, comparing it to his self-proclaimed superior family. Much to Kane's surprise, though, Edge thanked him for ruining his wedding day with Lita and injuring him years later, leading Edge to meet the woman of his dreams, Vickie Guerrero.

After announcing his and Chavo Guerrero's plans to regain the ECW and World Heavyweight Titles at Backlash, the Rated-R Superstar's true intentions behind The Cutting Edge were revealed when the family - along with newly acquired bodyguard Bam Neely - attacked Kane.

The destruction seemed to last forever for the Big Red Machine, as the Rated-R Superstar and the self-proclaimed "Mexican Warrior" clearly had no intentions of waiting for Sunday. Along with Neely, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder, Edge held Kane down as Guerrero went to work on his leg with a steel chair.

The Ultimate Opportunist lived up to his nickname as he helped Chavo gain a big advantage heading into the ECW Championship Match at Backlash. No doubt he sent a message to his opponent, and Kane's brother Undertaker, as well.

Which family will come out on top on Sunday? Will Undertaker and Kane keep the gold in their family or will another household bring the crowns to theirs? Find out at Backlash, Sunday at 8/7 CT only on pay-per-view.
