JBL brings Beyond Sport to India
In early September, JBL announced that he was stepping back from his SmackDown LIVE announcing duties to focus on his role as a Beyond Sport Global Ambassador. JBL’s determination to make a difference in the lives of at-risk kids is taking him to Mumbai, India, where he’ll visit the Magic Bus and Slum Soccer organizations.
JBL took to Twitter yesterday and expressed his enthusiasm in visiting Mumbai over the next week.
Can't wait to be in India next week to see @MagicBusIndia and the incredible work they are doing with sport to help disadvantaged youth.— John Layfield (@JCLayfield) September 21, 2017
Magic Bus steers children toward developing better life skills around education, gender and health. Slum Soccer is dedicated to using the sport as a way to foster sustainable development within otherwise marginalized populations of India.
The former WWE Champion hopes to learn from both programs, and determine how he and Beyond Sport can assist them in their efforts for creating better opportunities for at-risk youth.
