WWE.COM invades Comic-Con 2012
It’s that time of year again — hundreds of thousands of passionate fans have flocked to San Diego to attend Comic-Con International, the largest comic book and popular arts convention on the planet. And WWE and its Superstars will run wild at SDCC 2012, with a host of scheduled appearances including WWE Champion CM Punk, World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus and Divas Champion Layla.
The madness begins Wednesday, July 12, and if you can’t make the trip out to the geek Promised Land, don’t fret — we’ve got you covered. WWE.com will be at the show to keep you up-to-the-minute on all the latest news coming out of the "con to end all cons" with continuing live coverage.
If you are able to attend the show, there are plenty of events for members of the WWE Universe to catch while in the 619. One absolute must is to stop by the MattyCollector.com booth #3029 to get your hands on a FREE SDCC 2012 exclusive WWE Rumblers figure of The Rock! Created just for the show, the figure comes decked out in a special T-shirt featuring the authentic San Diego Comic-Con logo. Supplies are limited on the figure, and when he’s gone, he’s gone for good!
But that’s not nearly all of the WWE action taking place in San Diego. There will be plenty of Superstar appearances and signings, so be sure to take notes on the following information.
On Thursday, July 12, starting at 11:30 a.m. in Room 24ABC, Mattel toy designers will be joined by WWE Superstars to talk about Mattel’s WWE action figures, and offer a sneak peek at upcoming products. Be there to hear exciting announcements about the 2013 line and to take part in an action-packed Q&A!
Be sure to head over to the Mattel booth all weekend long for exclusive Superstar signings, including: WWE Champion CM Punk, World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus and Zack Ryder (Thursday, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.); Daniel Bryan, Arn Anderson and Alicia Fox (Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.); Brodus Clay and Divas Champion Layla (Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.).
Stay with WWE.com all week for live coverage from the show floor, and in the meantime, check out last year's coverage, including one of SDCC '11’s most talked-about moments – CM Punk’s shocking hijacking of the Mattel panel!
