Lawler teams up with "The Green Hornet"
WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler is teaming up with writer/director Kevin Smith and Dynamite Entertainment to help bring one of the most recognizable pop culture icons, The Green Hornet, to life in a new comic book series.
An avid comic book fan and artist, "The King" has been telling everyone about the release and return of The Green Hornet to comics.
"Not only is The Green Hornet one of the most important characters in American pop culture history… not only is this going to be one of the biggest launched comics of the year," he said, "but I am also going to have cover art featured in an upcoming issue of The Green Hornet!"
Along with series artist Jonathan Lau, "The King" joins comic book icons Alex Ross, John Cassaday, Stephan Segovia and J. Scott Campbell as a cover artist for an upcoming issue of the series.
When asked what makes this project great, Lawler said, "We're taking the essence of what's made The Green Hornet a classic from day one, and bringing in one of the greatest creators in comics, film and TV: Kevin Smith."
The Monday Night Raw commentator also added, "The comic fans in the know are ready and eagerly anticipating the release of the first issue, which happens to be this Wednesday, March 3."
