While many of our high-school-age members of the WWE Universe are getting ready for their annual prom dances, one WWE Superstar is also making pre-prom preparations of his own.

The United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter is out shopping for a ballin' tux after being invited to a Chicago-area prom by The View co-host Sherri Shepherd, who recently escorted MVP to the ring on Friday Night SmackDown at Madison Square Garden May 1. (PHOTOS | VIDEO)

MVP will return the favor, escorting Shepherd to Hoffman Estates High School's event in suburban Chicago this Saturday night. Hoffman Estates H.S. is Shepherd's alma mater.

Ironically, it will be the first-ever prom for both Shepherd and MVP, who both missed their own high school proms during their teenage years.

The theme of Hoffman Estates' prom is "The Greatest Story Ever Told." What kind of story will MVP and Shepherd write together in Chi-town? Check back with WWE.com later this weekend for video and photos of their magical evening.
