Texas-sized ticket sales for 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania
STAMFORD, Conn. -- WWE fans worldwide took home tens of thousands of available tickets during the official on-sale for the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, making it the second-highest first-day gross in the history of WrestleMania. Despite a less than stellar economy as compared to 2007, ticket sales exceeded $4.8 million, almost beating the record for first-day ticket sales set by WrestleMania 24 in Orlando.
Fans from 24 countries, including all 50 states and seven Canadian provinces, are expected to attend the event, making the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania an event only a state the size of Texas can handle.

WWE fans are expected to inject upwards of $50 million into the local economy with a weeklong schedule of activities, interactive experiences and events taking place in Houston leading up to the big event.
