WWE Superstars review "The Life and Times of Mr. Perfect" DVD

"The Life and Times of Mr. Perfect," the highly-anticipated DVD focused on WWE Hall of Famer Curt Hennig, is now available for WWE fans to enjoy. In this exclusive DVD, viewers can see Hennig's music videos, vignettes of some of his most memorable wrestling matches, and never before seen family photos and home videos. The two-disc set features comments from his family and friends. WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and WWE.com's Joey Styles reviewed this "perfect" DVD.

"I think it's one of the better DVDs that WWE has produced in quite sometime," said Ross. "I'm not big on endorsing things I don't believe in, so this is a DVD that I encourage fans, old and new, to watch. For some of the new fans who never got the chance to see Mr. Perfect in person or back in his heyday, this is a DVD that's well worth the investment."

Joey Styles referred to the DVD as "fun" and said it brought back many memories for him. "Curt Hennig's place in WWE history tends to get overlooked because he wasn't a WWE Champion, and perhaps should have been," explained Styles. "He was one of the greatest Intercontinental Champions ever, one of the greatest in-ring performers ever and one of the greatest public speakers ever. Curt Hennig was the perfect sports-entertainer."

The DVD highlights the WWE Hall of Famer's most electrifying matches, including bouts during his two reigns as Intercontinental Champion, specifically his title match against Bret "Hit Man" Hart at SummerSlam 1991.

"If I was a young guy coming up in sports-entertainment, that would be the match that I would want to study. When Curt was the Intercontinental Champion, I never saw him have a bad match," explained Ross. "Curt could be a fan-favorite, and he could be an antagonist. He was really outstanding in many things. Curt was a real man's man."

While viewing "The Life and Times of Mr. Perfect," fans can see a more personal side of the Robbinsdale, Minn., native.

"I wasn't too familiar with how great of a family man he was, which is more important than being great in your professional life. It was very touching to hear from Curt's grown son, Joe, and his wife, Leonice. This DVD gives you a glimpse into the person, Curt Hennig, and not just the persona, Mr. Perfect."

For Ross, Hennig will always be remembered for his grace in the ring, but also for his outgoing personality. To WWE loyalists, he was known as Mr. Perfect, but to other Superstars he was nicknamed "Dennis the Menace" for being a practical joker, Ross noted.

"Curt could always put a smile on my face. He was always having fun. He would padlock one of the guys' bags to a locker," said Ross with a grin on his face. "He was a great talent, who would, with today's talent, have no problem in his prime stepping back into the ring and becoming a huge star. He is greatly missed."
