USA Today covers 'Man Laws'

The Miller Lite "Man Laws" commercials starring Triple H were the subject of a USA Today story published online and in yesterday's paper. USA Today said more masculine marketing messages are the norm lately, especially when it comes to beer.

"Now, beermaker Miller Lite is trying to tap into a manly but modern male mind-set for its latest ad campaign," according to USA Today.

Miami advertising agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky created the "Man Laws" ads which depict a secret society of men crafting unwritten laws into written "Man Laws" while bonding over Miller Lite. The society includes Triple H, Burt Reynolds, Jimmy Johnson and Jerome Bettis. So far, "Man Laws" is a success.

"The TV ads are also a big hit, according to consumers surveyed for Ad Track, USA Today's weekly poll. Of those familiar with the ads, 30 percent like the ads ‘a lot' compared with the Ad Track average of 21 percent," according to USA Today.

The "Man Laws" Web site is a hit, too.

"The campaign's Web component, manlaws.com, has attracted the contribution of nearly 100,000 ‘Man Laws' submitted from everyday guys. Since the site launched in May, more than 1 million unique visitors have stopped by," according to USA Today.
