Edge on 'Mind of Mencia'

WWE Champion Edge says he's ready to add another nickname to go with "Rated R Superstar" after guest starring on Comedy Central's "Mind of Mencia."

"I am an entertainment juggernaut," Edge told WWE.com. "You like that? We might be able to throw that handle on top of the ‘Rated R Superstar.' The ‘Entertainment Juggernaut.' "

With his self-proclaimed good sense of humor and "Entertainment Juggernaut" status, Edge admitted he thinks was a shoo-in to be a guest star on "Mind of Mencia," which is in its second season on Comedy Central.

"It was a no-brainer for me to go on ‘Mind of Mencia,' I think. And actually it was a lot of fun. It was a really good time." Edge said. "What it did do, though, is make me realize how much I enjoy [the WWE] element and the live crowd, and the fly by the seat of your pants without a net feeling. And it's live, and you get that instant gratification."

According to ComedyCentral.com, comedian Carlos Mencia's " ‘Mind of Mencia' is based on Mencia's unique point of view of the world including such topics as ethnic stereotypes, race relations, immigration, war, patriotism, capitalism and family and is presented with brutal honesty and unrelenting provocation. The show includes Mencia's comments on pop culture and current events, man-on-the-street interviews, commercial parodies, as well as interaction with the studio audience."

Edge couldn't reveal too much about his role on Sunday night's show, but offered a little hint to the WWE fans: "I'll just say that there was a Royal Rumble involved and religion involved. … I tested my commentating duties in a ‘Religious Royal Rumble,' and I'll leave it at that."

As for what the WWE fans will see, and what happened behind the scenes on "Mind of Mencia," Edge said, "We shot what is probably going to be a 10-minute skit and it took 12 hours. And you repeat the same jokes over and over and over and over, and the crowd's supposed to react over and over and over and over. It was a lot of fun and all the people there were great. They treated me great. But it was a pretty tiring day. I flew out at 4 in the morning from home, did that, flew right back to a show in Hartford to defend the Championship, and you know, it was worth it. Hopefully the end result will be pretty cool."

Between Edge's recent visit to ESPN's "Cold Pizza" and his stint on "Mind of Mencia," the WWE Champion is living up to his self-proclaimed handle of "Entertainment Juggernaut."

"I'm everywhere. Let's face it," he said.

Watch Edge on "Mind of Mencia" Sunday night at 10/9 CT on Comedy Central.
