Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux def. BirthRight, OTM and DarkState | NXT Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match
Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux are riding high by becoming the No. 1 Contenders to the NXT Tag Team Championship after winning an epic Fatal 4-Way Match.
DarkState was determined to earn the championship opportunity in hopes of becoming three-time champions, but Saquon Shugars appeared and got into it with Dion Lennox before escaping into the dark.
That left Osiris Griffin and Cutler James reeling, but BirthRight and OTM couldn’t take advantage.
Legacy and Van Dux could, however, as they capitalized on a downed Uriah Connors with tandem top rope splashes to win the match.
Keanu Carver def. Tank Ledger
Tank Ledger wanted payback on Keanu Carver for being put through a table at NXT Great American Bash, but it just wasn’t his night.
Carver continued to add to his already remarkable arsenal, this time hitting an unbelievable dropkick that left Ledger and the NXT Universe stunned.
With Ledger out on his feet, Carver picked him up for a match-ending Spinebuster to secure his statement victory.
Layla Diggs def. Izzi Dame, Thea Hail and Lizzy Rain | NXT Women’s North American Championship No. 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match
Newcomer Layla Diggs scored the biggest win of her young career as she is the new No. 1 Contender to the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
It was a hard-hitting affair and that favored the brawler Lizzy Rain, but Thea Hail kept thwarting her, until she was met with Thunderstruck.
Izzi Dame proceeded to catch Rain flush with a Busaiko Knee, but that opened the door for Diggs to hit her marvelous Moonsault to win the match in incredible fashion.
Niko Vance def. Shiloh Hill
Niko Vance is back in the win column, but his problems have only just begun.
Shiloh Hill was on a roll, but Tristan Angels appeared and stole Hill’s tooth that he left on the apron.
That distraction opened the door for a massive flying back elbow strike by Vance which handed him the win.
After the bout, Shawn Spears hit the ring and attacked his former protege with a steel chair.
NXT Women’s Champion Kendal Grey def. Nattie
The Kendal Grey era of NXT started off with a bang as the incredible grappler retained the NXT Women’s Title against Nattie.
The match quickly devolved into a slugfest as Nattie dragged Grey into the deep waters, forcing Grey to hit a gear that she’s never reached before.
The outside was just as chaotic as the inside as Wren Sinclair was attacked by Nattie’s disciples Karmen Petrovic and Evolve Women’s Champion Nikkita Lyons, but Lola Vice ran down to provide some much-needed aid.
Grey and The Lowkey Legend traded incredible submission attempts, with Grey even enduring and ultimately escaping the fabled Sharpshooter.
After the rope break, Nattie was caught with a ring-rattling Shades of Grey which delivered the champion another thrilling victory.
After the match, Jaida Parker laid out Petrovic and Lyons in a statement to her rival Nattie.
