Finn Bálor faced the tall task of bringing down the imposing Talla Tonga.
Behind the referee's back at ringside, Tama Tonga delivered a massive clothesline to Bálor, who somehow struggled back into the ring.
Tonga went for a chokebomb, but Bálor countered with a massive DDT.
When Bálor tried to follow up with a dropkick in the corner, Talla smashed Bálor's face with a big boot.
Bálor eventually landed the corner dropkick and followed up with two Coup de Graces to win the match.
Tiffany Stratton def. Jacy Jayne to qualify for the WWE Women's Title Ladder Match
Women's United States Champion Tiffany Stratton aimed to get closer to becoming a double champion as she took on Fatal Influence's Jacy Jayne in a SummerSlam WWE Women's Title Ladder Match Qualifier.
Fatal Influence jumped Stratton before the bell but were thwarted by WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella, who sent Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley fleeing to the backstage area.
Stratton countered the Rolling Encore before nailing the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to earn her place in the Ladder Match at SummerSlam.
Jade Cargill def. Nia Jax via disqualification to qualify for the WWE Women's Title Ladder Match
During the match, Charlotte Flair arrived to attack Jade Cargill, who defeated Nia Jax by disqualification.
Flair then looked to injure Cargill's arm, but Cargill evaded before an irate Jax attacked Flair from behind.
War Raiders def. Fraxiom
AAA Tag Team Champions War Raiders battled Fraxiom in a non-title match.
Axiom nailed a moonsault from the top turnbuckle, taking out both War Raiders on the outside.
Ivar did serious damage by leveling Nathan Frazer and Axiom.
Ivar then stacked Frazer on top of Axiom and nearly nailed a moonsault, but Axiom moved out of the way.
Frazer and Axiom leapt to the outside to wipe out Ivar and send him crashing into the announce table.
Despite the effort from Fraxiom, The War Raiders obliterated Frazer before nailing Ragnarok on Axiom to win the match.
Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther ended in a no-contest
Cody Rhodes looked for payback against Gunther one night before their tag team match at Saturday Night's Main Event.
As Gunther seemed to have all the momentum, Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk made his way to ringside to oversee the match.
The American Nightmare locked in the Figure-Four, but Sami Zayn made his sudden arrival and attacked Punk outside the ring, distracting Rhodes as he relinquished the hold.
Zayn sent Rhodes into the ring post, which forced the official to throw out the match as Punk and Rhodes brawled with Zayn and Gunther to conclude SmackDown.
