WWE.com and Pat McAfee Show contributor Mark Kaboly lists who could be out front of The Vision after the stunning doublecross of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw.
THE SETUP
Just as The Vision was getting clearer, it’s become cloudier than ever… or has it? In what appeared to be Bron Breakker making an executive decision by taking out the leader of The Vision, in what we could only deduce at this time was because of Rollins looking out for himself over the rest of the faction, it didn’t take much coercing for Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman to put their stamp of approval on the decision. That leads us to here: Where does The Vision go now? Will the balance of power be shifted toward a charter member, or is there something bigger and badder waiting to be revealed? Either way, somebody has to step up or join The Vision, and to truly follow the path that seemingly has been put in motion by Breakker, The Vision is about the future, not the past.
NEW LOOK OF THE VISION
• Bron Breakker: Breakker is the mastermind, so it only makes sense that he will take over the lead role of The Vision. Everything points to that route, a notion made stronger with Breakker responding to a company social media post stating, "The Vision has never been clearer.”
• Paul Heyman: Never underestimate the twisted scheming of Paul Heyman. This all could be a Heyman creation over the disrespect that Rollins showed him before WWE Crown Jewel. The shocked face on Heyman when Breakker attacked Rollins could easily be something to take you off the scent of the real truth. Heyman could do much of the talking for the group and be more than just a Wiseman or The Oracle.
• Bronson Reed: Reed only benefits from being a part of a continued faction with Breakker and Heyman. There is no denying that. Reed can do pretty much anything inside the ring, which makes him a viable option to remain with the faction that could be focused on pushing the young stars to the next level. At this point, it’s a stretch to see him out of a group like this.
• Brock Lesnar: Adding Lesnar would make a ton of sense on the surface, especially with his history with Heyman and their recent encounters backstage ever since Lesnar has been back. Although Lesnar would instantly put The Vision at a different level, it is also true that Brock almost always prefers to go it alone. There is more of a chance that Heyman walks out of The Vision and reunites with Lesnar than the three big men joining up together with The Beast out in front.
• Jey Uso: Uso joining The Vision absolutely makes no sense… until it makes total sense. Roman Reigns has continued to push Uce to worry about himself and make a name for himself. You can pretty much go down the line, and everybody who has come in contact with Heyman has elevated himself to a new level.
• Gunther: Gunther has been missing in action since SummerSlam in August where he lost the World Heavyweight Title to CM Punk, who then was bamboozled by Rollins with a feign knee injury that allowed him to cash in his WWE Money in the Bank contract. Gunther has been quite successful in the role with the Intercontinental and Heavyweight Championships. That is what makes Gunther, well, Gunther. But you can’t help but think what a relationship with Heyman, Breakker and Reed would do to WWE.
• Austin Theory: Theory would fit the mold of a young and talented Superstar who is trying to reach a new level – sort of like Breakker and Reed. The only reason why he may be a longshot is how much he could move the needle, especially after the expectations following the attack on Rollins.
• Oba Femi: If The Vision is the future, then Oba Femi is as strong a player as anybody else to join the likes of Breakker and Reed. The former NXT Champion is the future, is a monster that fits with Reed and Breakker, and isn’t about to doublecross if either Breakker or Reed takes over the top dog role.
• Roman Reigns: When Heyman is involved, you always have to bring up Roman Reigns. Heyman and Reigns had such an iconic relationship that running it back as sort of a new Tribal Chief, if you will, might be stretching it. Throw in Heyman backstabbing Reigns, and the two having some recent beef makes it a true longshot… and that’s why I like it.
• CM Punk: See above. If Heyman is involved, you can’t count out Punk, even if The Oracle betrayed Punk at WrestleMania 41.
