The Rock covers Time 100 issue
Finally, The Rock has come back to… cover Time’s annual “The 100 Most Influential People” issue.
After scoring the honor for the first time in 2016, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is once again among the many influential figures recognized in Time Magazine’s TIME 100 issue. The Great One is one of six people who graced Time’s covers for the 2019 list, alongside Taylor Swift, Gayle King, Sandra Oh, Mohamed Salah and Nancy Pelosi.
In this issue, The Rock also receives praise from his “Fast & Furious” co-star Gal Gadot, who penned an essay in his honor as part of the magazine’s annual list. “He is the true embodiment of the idea that people may forget what you said, people may forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel,” she wrote. Taking to Instagram, Rock attributed the honor to “the deep connection I have with the fans, the audience – the people.”

I’m boundlessly humbled and honored to grace the cover of @TIME. I’ve been quite the lucky man over the decades to have such a successful career, but it’s only due to the deep connection I have with the fans, the audience - the people. To have success at something is one thing, but to have global positive influence on people’s lives is the greatest and most powerful strength one could ever have. Thank you TIME Magazine for this exceptional honor. And most importantly, thank you to my one and only boss - the people. Our connection will always remind me that it’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice. Cheers 🥃 ~ DJ #TIME100 @paridukovic 📸
