WWE.com and Pat McAfee Show contributor Mark Kaboly gives his predictions for the two-night event of SummerSlam, streaming live from U.S. Bank Stadium on Saturday and Sunday at 6 ET/3 PT on the ESPN App with an ESPN Unlimited plan in the United States and on Netflix internationally.

SUNDAY’S CARD
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Roman Reigns (C) vs. Seth Rollins

Everything revolves around Roman Reigns in the WWE, and rightfully so. He’s arguably the biggest superstar the company has seen in this century – easily the most decorated – yet he’s never had that much success against his former Shield partner Seth Rollins. Keep that in mind. Rollins and Reigns are admittedly heading down the final stretch of their careers, and SummerSlam could be the last time they face each other. It’s hard to be called one of the best if you are Roman yet never have any success against Seth Rollins in the biggest match. They haven’t met one-on-one since the Royal Rumble in 2022. The history between the two is long, but complicated. A lot of their previous matches ended in disqualifications or count outs that suggests there might be some weird stuff happening at the end. With this being the last match of the PLE, I’m expecting fireworks. Fans aren’t going away from SummerSlam without something significant happening. Hey, the Vision isn’t booked on SummerSlam ... just sayin’.

Prediction: Roman Reigns defeats Seth Rollins

Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match
Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Chelsea Green vs. (Giulia OR Lash Legend)
I absolutely love the concept of having an Interim WWE Women’s Championship Match to buy some time for Rhea Ripley to heal up, and even loved it more how they got to the five finalists. Now, it needs to pay off at SummerSlam. With the big hitters in the match like four former champs, it would be easy to see one of them grabbing the title. But Chelsea Green just jumps off the screen at you. It’s her time.

Prediction: Chelsea Green wins

Intercontinental Championship Match
Penta (C) vs. Chad Gable
Coming off an amazing run as El Grande Americano, it is fitting that his IC title match is against one of the best Luchadores in the company. The possibility of Penta and Gable having a run of matches against each other is exciting, but it has to start with a Gable win in his hometown. Penta’s five-month reign as the champ ends, yet his feud with Gable just begins.

Prediction: Chad Gable defeats Penta

United States Championship Match
Trick Williams (C) vs. Baron Corbin
This is a tricky match to get a read on. Trick Williams is on a heater now and is the future of the company. But the last thing you want to see is Baron Corbin – a former champ himself – to return to the company and immediately get beat. This one is going to have to get creative to protect both guys ... that is unless Trick Williams loses and then gets pushed up the ladder to a bigger championship push?

Prediction: Baron Corbin defeats Trick Williams

Undisputed WWE Championship No. 1 Contender’s Match
Finn Balor vs. Sami Zayn
Finn Balor has been on a hot streak since leaving the Judgment Day and appears to be on the rise to the top of the card. But you can never predict what the unhinged Sami Zayn might do. It makes sense for Zayn to win and then take on either Punk or Cody for the championship, but that’s too easy a booking. Balor momentum is real and needs to be protected with a big PLE win.

Prediction: Finn Balor defeats Sami Zayn

Human Monies on a Pole Match
Danhausen vs. Dominik Mysterio
Everything Danhausen touches turns to gold, so what makes a ‘Human Monies on a Pole Match’ any different? It might not be something for the purists, but it certainly will be entertaining. Danhausen is 5-0 in televised matches since making his WWE debut five months ago. I don't have that undefeated run stopping anytime soon.

Prediction: Danhausen defeats Dominik Mysterio
