WrestleMania 21 - Undertaker vs. Randy Orton

Prior to WrestleMania 21, Randy Orton, then a RAW Superstar, was looking to do something to make an impact at WrestleMania. After taking some advice from Hall of Famer "Superstar" Billy Graham, Orton knew what he had to do. In order to cement his status as the Legend Killer, Orton decided to challenge the biggest Legend he had yet to take on: Undertaker.

Undertaker accepted the challenge, and the contract was signed on SmackDown. The match marked the second consecutive year that Undertaker was involved in an inter-promotional match; in fact, just three days before their battle, the Legend Killer made a surprise appearance on SmackDown, nailing Undertaker with an RKO after Cowboy Bob Orton begged the Deadman to have mercy on Randy's soul. The match was set for WrestleMania: the young, cocky upstart against the man who owned WrestleMania.

The two men exchanged blows as the match began, and the Deadman blocked an early attempt at the RKO, sending Orton to the floor instead. Undertaker hit his signature legdrop off the apron, and then went Old School on Orton. However, he would soon find himself sent flying into the barrier around the ring, and Orton took control of the match.

Undertaker made a comeback, hitting Orton with a DDT, followed up by his signature Snake Eyes. The Deadman then hooked on a dragon sleeper, but the Legend Killer fought out and applied a sleeper of his own. Undertaker escaped, and after the two men slugged it out, the Deadman went for the Last Ride. The Legend Killer would escape, however, and the referee was knocked down in the aftermath.

At that point, Cowboy Bob Orton ran in and nailed Undertaker with his cast, but it only got a two count for Randy. Undertaker fought off Cowboy Bob, but walked into an RKO; somehow, Undertaker was able to escape the pinfall, flustering the Legend Killer. Orton then tried to finish the Deadman off with his own finisher, the Tombstone, but Undertaker reversed it into one of his own. That was enough to get the pinfall, giving the Deadman a perfect 13-0 WrestleMania record.
