After weeks antagonizing Mick Foley, Randy Orton finally got in the ring with the Hardcore Legend at Backlash 2004 in Foley's favorite environment: a Hardcore Match. In the end, the Legend Killer proved that he could be Hardcore, defeating Foley in a bloody affair.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin

At Survivor Series 2003, co-RAW GMs "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Eric Bischoff put their fate in the hands of a Classic Survivor Series Match. When all was said and done, Randy Orton was the sole survivor, meaning Austin's tenure as GM was over.

At Taboo Tuesday 2004, Randy Orton took on Ric Flair. The fans voted on which Specialty Match they wanted to see, and 68 percent voted for a Steel Cage Match. At the end of a bloody, brutal affair, Orton pinned his former mentor following an RKO.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper

RAW's Homecoming on Oct. 3, 2005 was a celebration of the show's return to the USA Network. WWE Hall of Famer "Rowdy" Roddy Piper kicked off the show with a special Piper's Pit...but was left laying thanks to a vicious RKO from the Legend Killer, Randy Orton.

Sgt. Slaughter

On the November 24, 2003 edition of RAW, Randy Orton met Sgt. Slaughter in the first-ever "Legend vs. Legend Killer" Match. The match was made thanks to Eric Bischoff's RAW Roulette wheel, with Slaughter being "flown in specially for the bout."
